Help needed: disappointments/underachievers dynasty

After seeing some of the solid work on themed dynasties like the career minor leaguer/benchwarmer and under-21 dynasties, I've decided that I want to try my hand with a team of disappointing and underachieving players.

However, I need help figuring out a bunch of players to use since my in-depth knowledge of baseball players isn't that impressive (now if this were relating to hockey players, I'd have no problem)

Specifically, I'm looking to gather players who have been disappointments or underachievers for their whole careers, not just guys who are in slumps this year. They don't have to be total busts either.

It's hard to explain what I'm specifically looking for. I want guys who have/had decent potential, but haven't lived up to it. A guy who, by this point in his career, was expected to have a slot nailed down in the top of a major league rotation, but is currently struggling to stay in the #4 or #5 slot. A player who was supposed to be a dependable every day man, but who just can't get off the bench or is only playing every day because of lack of depth.

Like I said, it's hard for me to pick specific guys because I only casually follow most baseball happenings, but here are some people I imagine fit the mold:

-Oliver Perez: I remember when he was supposed to be one of the next big starters, and he and Jake Peavy were going to be a dominant 1-2 for San Diego. Now he's flamed out with Pittsburgh and just now finding some decent form with the Mets

-Dustin McGowan: The most heralded pitcher in the Jays' system for a few years, he had several chances the last couple of seasons to crack the Toronto rotation and couldn't do it, nor could he stick in the bullpen. He is doing well this year, but I might need to keep him on the list if I can't get enough people.

-Josh Hamilton: He's back on track somewhat now, but there was that time with the D-rays where he wasted away all his 1st overall pick potential.

-Miguel Acensio: I can remember a couple of years ago with the Royals when he pitched against Toronto (it might have been one of his first ML starts) and the Jays' broadcasters thought he had a bright future with the Royals' youth movement. Now he's on his 3rd-4th organization and can't seem to get out of AAA-ball.

Of course, those guys might not even fit what I'm looking for, they're just the best I can think of.

Ideally I'd want enough players to man both the Majors and the AAA squad of whatever organization I choose to play as, but I'll take whatever I can get.

The only stipulation is that I ask you to limit your selections to people available in UR 8.3. However, the team they're on doesn't matter, and Free Agents are good too. I'd also ideally like people who have at least had a sniff of the major leagues.

I don't know if I'll post for this dynasty when I get going. If I do, it would probably not be an every game type of deal (that takes too much time), but I might do periodic reports after series or months or whatever.

Thanks in advance

These guys aren't really underachieving. They just aren't up to their full potential. Take McGowan for an example, he pitched a great game the other day. Also, Oliver Perez has always been good, but the Pirates have always sucked. Now that he's with the Mets, he's actually pitching well enough to rely on his bats.

Russ Adams. I remember when he came up, he was supposed to be a great middle infielder. Then he lost his bat and his glove, and he's been in AAA ever since.

That's exactly what underachieving is.

Here's a couple good players:

SP Daniel Cabrera

OF Corey Patterson

SP Jaret Wright

OF Jason Dubois (just take the whole Orioles roster ;) )

OF Brian Anderson

SP Josh Fogg

RP Jorge Julio

2B Kaz Matsui

SP Scott Olsen

OF Shane Costa

2B/SS Angel Berroa

SP Gil Meche

2B Rickie Weeks

SS Bobby Crosby

OF Jayson Werth

3B Kevin Kouzmanoff

OF Jose Cruz

I know that they still have potential, but the point is that they should've been farther along by now. McGowan was supposed to have cemented his place in the Jays rotation by at least last year, and he blew every chance that was given to him before this season. Perez and Peavy broke into the league around the same time and while Peavy smoothly ascended to elite status like most people expected, Perez fell hard and is just on his way back.

I didn't mean to say I wanted just complete busts. Guys can be underachievers and disappointments even though there's still hope. You can't tell me when a guy like Oliver Perez showed all that promise in his rookie year that you would be content with his career path to this point.

And thanks for the suggestions to this point. I also have a couple of other ones I'm not sure about

D'Angelo Jimenez

Carlos Pena
