sccommish
I have a question regarding "read-only" files. I use your models.big, which is great. You advocate it to be "read-only" and rightly so. Should the individual stadium big files be set to "read only" as well? The reason I ask is that all of a sudden, the game crashed trying to use Boston at home. I overwrote the stadium files and got it working again. I eliminated everything else and determined it was the stadium files. So, should the stadium files be set to "read-only" like the models.big? Thanks for your time.
Totte
I doubt that the stadium files should be read-only
sccommish
Thanks Totte for your response. I wasn't really sure. I'm hoping Big Scmooz will give his thoughts as well. By the way, your rosters are great! I wouldn't use any other! Thanks

krawhitham
making models.big "read-only" does absolutely NOTHING to help protect the file. The game does not corrupt the file, PERIOD

big shmooz
Thanks Totte for your response. I wasn't really sure. I'm hoping Big Scmooz will give his thoughts as well. By the way, your rosters are great! I wouldn't use any other! Thanks I concur. I see no reason to make the stadium files read only. Edit; If you want to try it, it can't hurt any. big shmooz
making models.big "read-only" does absolutely NOTHING to help protect the file. The game does not corrupt the file, PERIOD I happen to disagree. I have had personal experience with it happening to me till I made the file read only. Cyberface files would become decompressed while playing the game. This caused game crashes. When I made the file read only, the game no longer decompressed the files in the models.big. BigPaPa
I happen to disagree. I have had personal experience with it happening to me till I made the file read only. Cyberface files would become decompressed while playing the game. This caused game crashes. When I made the file read only, the game no longer decompressed the files in the models.big. The same thing happened to me. I however related it to my overuse of bigGUI to see how unis, cyberfaces and accessories were looking in game when i switched to using the installer thingy this no longer happened to me.
