BigPapa....if you noticed the time, he made two threads by accident.

i didnt notice so sorry

and pudge

i am actually a yankee and red sox fan (probably a little closer to the yanks) but i like both. This stems from being a david ortiz fan since he was in the minors and being given season tix for the yanks in 1997 and 1998, two years in which they did well and were very exciting i also grew up in New York but didn't really appreciate baseball until i played in high school.

i guess so. Im more of a Big Papi fan than a red sox fan but lets just say if the yanks gotta lose it better be because of him. I hate curt shilling, i hate Kevin Youkilis, i hate Jason Varitek, i hate Julian tavarz because he sucks to much the be as much of an asshoel as he is. Im a big fan of Beckett, Coco Crisp (who by the way is the long lost son of count chocula), and mike lowell i also like papelbon and i like Manny (P.S. manny is a huge Yankee fan and has said that hed prefer to play in pinstripes)

I wouldn't put too much stock into what Manny has to say - this guy changes his mind as often as he changes his hair due.

BTW, don't take me wrong. I love Manny. He is such a character and I wouldn't want to change anything about him, and one thing most people don't know about him is that he is one of the hardest workers in baseball.

The redsox are very interested in changing what team he plays for. THey even put hi out on waivers for a day once and no one took him. I love manny but hes not one of the hardest workers in baseball, hes overpaid, and hes not a team player. He is also a avid yankee fan who grew up in the south Bronx and has said he wished to be a Yankee since he graduated high school.

I know exactly what comment that was, and it was a sarcastic one. In addition, Manny says a lot of stuff in general that you can't buy, just like redsox already mentioned.

However, I find this RED SOX/YANKEE combination very interesting, although I do not understand why you would hate Youkilis.

Not anymore the Red Sox aint they put him on waivers four years ago I highly highly doubt that they would do it again or even trade him today. Manny is not overpaid. Even tough he did grow up in New York Manny is/was not a Yankee fan he is/was a Blue Jay fan because they had lots of Latin Americans on the team while he was growing up. Manny works harder than anyone off the field you just wouldnt think it because of how he act when he is playing

cocoanuts69 don't post that kind of crap. I'm a Yankee fan but everyone knows we're still a ways back in the AL East so we can't say anything. And it's in the wrong thread.

That's what a rivalry is? Making crap posts about a team you dislike, simply because your favourite team has now pulled its head out of its *** and you think that entitles you to post that? Wrong.

Bear in mind that it wasn't so long that the Yankees were showing the same kind of form, or worse, that the Red Sox showed a few nights ago. When the Yankees are 7.5 games ahead in the division, then you can talk. Until then, keep your pathetic excuse for an opinion out of the forums - it's Yankees "fans" like you that give others "room to talk" when the Yankees aren't playing well - you're the stereotypical arrogant Yankees fan who is quiet when the Yankees stink, but are in everyone's face when they've won a couple of games.

well you are entitled to your opinion too. i meant it in a "friendly fashion" but if you guys are going to blow it out of proportion then go ahead. it the best rivalry in sports all time and smack talk after a handful of wins is no big deal, red sox fans do it as well every year, thats life! no disrespect was meant so for the people who were offended by my writing i apologize but i and only i know the context in which i meant it.
