Pudge77
I use GIMP so i may not be able to. But if i were to start modding what would be the best/easiest to start with? Cyberfaces, Uniforms etc... Thanks
JP_Frost
my guess is cyberfaces. All you really need is photoshop and it's pretty easy when you get the hang of it. That said, I've never tried anything else, except for some datafile changes, so I'm not too sure.
Mav3rek
I'd start with uni's. They have to be the easiest mainly b/c they don't require you to do any editing in OEdit which can be a pain for cyberfaces/stadiums especially when you are starting out. krawhitham
Uni's are the easiest. Time consuming but the easiest.
Pudge77
Will it be harder because im using GIMP. I just dont have 600 dollars for PS
dannyt
By no means am I advocating any illegal activity, but if you really want Photoshop you could always get a pirated version from the world wide web somehwere.
Mav3rek
no, GIMP uses psd's also right? Just download KC's PSD Uniform Templates and you'll be good to go.

BigPaPa
get some templates and start fooling around. The hardest parts of Unis are the gloves and cleats because as far as i know there no template for them you just have to sort of learn how they map and GIMP is fine i used gimp at first until i got my hands on my workplaces office copy of photoshop
Homer
funny cuz looking back, i still think portraits and player audios are by far the easiest to start with, then uniforms, then cyberfaces....stadiums i won't touch.
krawhitham
Maybe portraits but not audio, explaining HEX editing to a newbie is painful
Darkslide820
Portraits, by far. I can do them. 'Nuff said. Then again, I don't make a different alpha for everyone, so I'd imagine that makes it just that much easier than it should be. But yeah, I was thinking about getting to uniforms next. Pudge77
Kraw i remember seeing a portrait tut that you posted a while back but cant find it now. Can you point me in the right direction
Homer
go to eamods, search "portrait tutorial". can't possibly miss it. but between your tutorial, the portrait maker and installer thiny, portrait making is pretty dang easy. do you think it'd be possible to make a tool for player audio? you know, just type in whatever id number you want, and it whips out the hdr files for you, and if you either point to or add the wav files to the right spot, it whips up the dat files too? could be a great addition to the portrait maker. don't know if it's possible or not, but it would at least make hex editing idiot proof. Pudge77
How do i get Unifroms into .fsh format i am having a lot of trouble with it.
Darkslide820
Are you serious? Why even bother then Because I want to put pictures of players in the game. I don't care about the background being transparent, so I just use a 256x256 white square alpha or a 128x128 white square alpha, depending on the size of the player picture. BTW, I must thank you for the Installer Thingy and the Portait Maker. I use them a lot now. Gracias.
