Logitech Controller

So when I was researching which controller to buy for MVP 05, I found that the Logitech Dual Action Controller was the one most suggested. However, I saw that there were a few reviews where people said that after a while, whenever you try and move a player with the left joystick it automatically makes that player dive for the ball.

And turns out, that's exactly what just happened now. I went to play a game (I'm into August in my dynasty), and it just happened for the first time.

Can anyone help out with this? It kind of either makes or breaks my game-playing, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Those controllers have a reputation for the left-analog stick messing up on them, and not just in MVP. Only thing I would suggest is that you run

it through the calibration software that came with it.

Have you noticed problems with it in other games?

I'm only playing MVP on my PC, so no. I will have to check to see where I put the stuff that came with the controller.

Hopefully I still have the warranty...

This probably isn't the problem but on the off chance....make sure that button that turns on the LED, is off. And depending on the OS you're operating...that software that came with it may be a problem. Personally that software was what screwed everything up for me, using windows' drivers that install when you plug it in is the easiest way to use the controller. From my experience at least

I have an older Logitech controller with dual analog controls, and what happens to it in MVP 05/07 as well as NHL 2007 is that it constantly tries to go "down" if you know what I mean. If I unplug the controller and plug it back in, it will work for a short time, and then it will go bad again. Finally I have just went out and got a new one.

That happened to me plenty of times, it usually means that it's dead. I went through 4 controllers in the past 3 years, with the exact same problem, and I don't throw it around or drop it to often.

I had one before and over time the right analog didn't move right and I couldn't swing to the right with the bat very well. I'd recalibrate and it wouldn't last, it would just happen again. I think they're designed as the right analog not to be used a lot.

I have used the Logitech controller since MVP 2005 came out for not just MVP but for NBA Live, Tiger Woods, and Winning Eleven (A soccer game by Konami-amazing) and have never experienced this problem. Perhaps I was just lucky.
