Transferring a custom team from a roster to a new one?

Alright. I've been playing MVP 05 for a while now, only doing a few mods here and there. All I really ever used was Ultimate Rosters for 2006, once, and now I'm going to upgrade to the latest ones again.

I have a custom team that I've created (in-game, yes) that took a while to do. Every player on the team is custom. I've had to redo it once when I accidentally saved over the roster file (learned to back that up), but that was early on, and then for the last season I revamped the roster again. I've got everything set now and I'd like to know if I can just copy the created players of the one team over and save me the work?

Question 2 is even quicker - How do I mod controller.cfg so that with the keyboard I can step in and out from the plate? I fixed every other problem in there by myself, but that's the one thing I can't do and it's bothered me for years.

I ran a few searches here but I couldn't find anything, sorry if I missed these answers!
