If it's the free ones you want to get, you can download them with a program that can handle MMS links. Just get the file URL from the player and download the file.

Load the video, get the actual file URL from the video properties, then use a program that can handle MMS links (NetTransport, FlashGet etc.) to download the video to your HDD. All of the newer videos are in WMV format, so you can watch them using Windows Media Player, for example.

I've been trying to do this for a week now and MLB has appeared to block it. Used to be, I had no problem getting the files but now it seems they've found out about it.

Thanks Mark, I downloaded NetTransport, loaded the video but when I want to download it there is a message that says "The specified file cannot be found" (I think it says that because I downloaded the spanish version...)

the video URL is: mms://a1503.v108692.c10869.g.vm.akamaistream.net/7/1503/10869/v0001/mlb.download.akamai.com/10869/2007/open/tp/archive06/062207

Can you please download it and send it to my mail? (hectorlr63@yahoo.com.mx)

That file doesn't exist, that's why you're seeing that error. The file name is invalid. Send me a link to the page you're loading the media player from and what file it is you want.

Downloaded that Griffey montage as soon as I got back from the game. Flashget is actually very easy to use. Just play the video and click "new download" and it automatically picks it up. Nice program.

Maybe that file isn't free like Mark said:

i thought it was kinda dumb how they blocked out the crowd sound. so griff is standing there to silence in the video.

Takes a few days to get used to, but it's so much easier for your eyes than starting at white and light grey all the time - and it also lets you see who's been lazy when designing their websites and hasn't changed the background colour from default. ;)

You're telling me! The crowd was crazy loud! Thats why Griffey was just standing there because it was just non stop cheers. Turn it up to hear the cheering then the big booming announcer voice comes on and blows your speakers.. lol

I am so glad I was there because what you saw on TV or MLB.com was nothing like the experience. Seattle loves Griffey!

Yeah this is MEGA bump but can anyone help me? I want to get the links that I need to paste in Flashget so I can get them, I cant do that because the Hank Aaron homerun moment ad starts before the video and the video link doesnt appear, I only get the ad link...

I need the links of the following:

The Mike Cameron video

Money in PETCO

Foul ball into a beer cup

Mexican League catch without glove

The videos can be found here:

http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/news/left_field.jsp

I was wondering if someone knew how to get the real links to a video when an ad starts before it. It would be better.
