Kassie
I bought this gamepad at eBay. The button number do not corrospond with the one in the game. First I tried to reassign the buttons using the ingame options menu. This does not solve the issue. Unfortunately, some buttons can't be reassigned in the game (i.e. the small menu (bullpen, def alignment, ...)). Second, I tried to edit it using the controller.cfg file. Same result. No button assignments swaps. Not even the swing button. It seems the short menu cannot be reassigned to a different button. Third. It seems there's nothing left, except for adjustments by using a driver. While my gamepad was plug 'n play, I did not had any. I don't know what to do. Is there someone who has solved this issue? This guy had the same problem, but no positive results posted. Possible solution: a free gamepad driver. Does such software exist?
forEvErYankEE87
i am using a psx controller with converter same pad Things to remember for this game: R1/button 8 is predefined in the game, so is the start/buton 10 and select/button 9. Also the right joystick is predefined i think for fielding and sliding. The down button on the D pad is also prefixed. Also the alignment of the 1234 buttons are not the same as in the game (according to my experience). So for pitching selection 12345 u need to play with them until it matches it. As far as changing these predefined buttons to something else i never did that since i am satisfied with my layout. hope this helps
