firelighter
I'm new here, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to share a few minutes. Jesse, from a devout Red Sox fan from the Philippines, get well soon. We're all rooting for you. RaptorQuiz, chin up man. I'd say Jess is one lucky girl for having someone as supportive and as devoted as you. Peace out. DJEagles
I hope you feel better Jessie, and if it makes you feel better, I suspect you are probably far to pretty for someone like Raptor.
RaptorQuiz
Make sure you spring that Nugent picture on her just as she's waking up. It'll get the blood circulating. Or give her a heart attack or something. lol. just what she needs. I hope you feel better Jessie, and if it makes you feel better, I suspect you are probably far to pretty for someone like Raptor. I suspect you're right. Road rash itch advice: Vasoline...lots of it. I've bought her close to $200 worth of "Polysporin" in 3 days. Yeesh. RaptorQuiz, chin up man. I'd say Jess is one lucky girl for having someone as supportive and as devoted as you. Thank you very much, and thank you for the well-wishes for Jessie. RaptorQuiz
I've got to tell you guys, I gave her the first batch of these "notes" last night, and then another batch this morning... and her reaction was actually even better than I'd hoped for. ... Pirate: She, of course, loved the fact that you think she's hot. I told her you were married, so that dissapointed her, though. KC: She loved the logo you made. AstroEric: Of course, she loved yours. Especially the Vanilla Ice bit. lol. xcrunner4623: She thought that was hilarious. DJEagles: She thought yours was hilarous too... you bastard. TheMadcap: She liked your as well. Seems to be a pattern... imply she's hot (or state it plainly, like Pirate did) and she loves you. Hmph. JaFFiTh: She liked yours. SprinterFan: Sonofa... I think you've roped me into something here, because she was especially interested in YOUR note. She loved the ones from other countries, of course. And she was so very appreciative of all of you, for offering thoughts and prayers for her. ... She said it made her feel very special and good that so many people had wished her well. So, I figure, if anybody else out there wants to leave their well-wishes, every time I fill up another page, I will give them to her.

superciuc
You must be one hell of a girl to put up with a Cards fan like Raptor. I wouldn't stay with Raptor more then 2 or 3 seconds  (nothing personal, my friend). A question, RaptorQuiz: did you say, a couple of months ago, that Jessie likes Italy? If not, i'm going crazy.

Royal Blues
Best wishes and a speedy recovery, Jessie. In one respect, I know what you're going through. Nearly two years ago, I tore my MCL. That pain is literally enough to make a grown man cry. On another note, Raptor, my wife really admires you for what you're doing here. I only wish she could admire the modding aspect of this game
RaptorQuiz
You guys have all been so great. You can't even imagine how good it makes Jessie feel every time she gets another batch of your warm wishes. We're up to a total of 10 pages, and counting, in the Word Document that I print out and give her as it grows. If anybody's still up to it - keep 'em coming! RaptorQuiz
In one respect, I know what you're going through. Nearly two years ago, I tore my MCL. That pain is literally enough to make a grown man cry. Oh yeah. Been there. Done that. 100% tears of both my ACL and PCL in Basic Training when I was 21. Horrendous. On another note, Raptor, my wife really admires you for what you're doing here... I don't really think I'm doing anything that shouldn't be expected of a man to do for the woman he loves. Some people have told me that all the work I've been doing for her, and this little "warm wishes" thread idea, etc. are "above and beyond" but I just don't see how that can be... isn't a man supposed to do everything he possibly can in a situation like this? Oh - and if your wife wants to hear something she'll REALLY admire - tell her how I washed Jessie's hair for her (because she can't raise her arms high enough yet, OR get completely into the shower - we used the kitchen sink), and then conditioned it, and then blow-dried it, and then brushed it, and then helped her wash her face... ...all while on my lunch break from work... ...for the 3rd day in a row. lol. I'm sure she's wondering why she doesn't get this kind of attention except when she's in horrific traffic accidents by now.

RaptorQuiz
RaptorQuiz = Clutch Performer of the Year Thanks for the compliment, but I'm just tryin' to keep her spirits up. So far, she hasn't gotten too "down" from the accident... but I'm worried it's coming. All the attention, and pampering, and (of course) the well-wishes from here are doing thier job... but I know the worry/depression has to be coming. RaptorQuiz
Well, she goes to the doctor tomorrow (Monday). It's been since Tuesday evening, when the accident happened. We're supposed to find out if the constant bandage-changing has been doing it's job, and wether she'll be able to return to work or not (it's looking like not for another week - she has trouble standing for long periods of time, and her range of motion is like 60% of what it is supposed to be). Anyway - I've got to get to work myself, right now - but I just wanted to leave an update for anyone who might be following along. And, as always, any further well-wishes are VERY MUCH appreciated, and VERY MUCH welcome!
SprinterFan
Raptor, I know a guy that sells stuff out of the trunk of his car. He will get you a good deal. LOL. Just kiddin' Anyway, I am glad everyday I decided to buy my wife's ring and now we have a little one coming in November (I guess after 4 years of marriage it was time everyone tells us it was ablout time). I hope all goes well tomorrow. Please keep us up to date.
RaptorQuiz
...I am glad everyday I decided to buy my wife's ring and now we have a little one coming in November (I guess after 4 years of marriage it was time everyone tells us it was ablout time). I hope all goes well tomorrow. Please keep us up to date. Congratulations on having a baby on the way! That's awesome news. It must be exciting (while scary at the same time) to be starting your own family. As for buying a ring... I don't think it will be that long before I'm going to have to do the same. It's just time, I think. I will keep you (and everyone else) up to date on what the doctor says. Hopefully there won't be any surprises, like infection on the surface injuries, or any newly discovered internal injuries that would be more easily found since all the swelling is going down. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
AstroEric
As for buying a ring... I don't think it will be that long before I'm going to have to do the same. It's just time, I think. Good luck, man! You'll be as fluent in the 4 C's as me in no time. And remember that these guys have the power to cut deals of your own making. I walked out of a jewelry store having paid $3100 for a $3800 ring (don't tell my wife I haggled for it though!). --Eric

AnthonyBurke
I ride a Kawasaki Ninja 600, so I can really feel for the pain of a bike accident. I have one friend who lost an arm, another who has pins in his foot an yet another that passed away a few years back. So I'll say a prayer and send my best wishes. Get Well soon!
