well saturday il be getting my new gaming machine, built with the best High end gear i could afford, anyways my graphics card iv purchased is a 768mb 8800gtx Inno3d overclocked version, and i was just curious if id realise any difference to my 9600xt 256mb ati graphics card

i believe the 768mb cards are for the future dx10 games, but wouldnt there be a big difference overall, compared to the current graphics card im running atm.

Il be running 2 gig corsair 800mhz ram

with a zalman aftermarket cpu heat sink, top Notch ANTEC 900 tower...and yeh, should run brilliantly :)

iv got high hopes on this, as iv spent plenty of $$$ to get the best quality graphics..

then again my Asus striker mobo supports SLI to, so when the times right in about a yr or two il just drop another graphic card in and il have just over 1.4 gig...

how much ram are you getting with this beast? hopefully at least 3g

3 gig is abit overkill, iv got 2 gig corsair 800mhz ram running it,so yeh should fire up like a beast considering the fast ram iv bought.

Want to hear something funny..

I have everything maxed... forced 8X/16X with SLI'd 7900GTs @ 1600X1200 rez and the picture quality and AA was better with my old x800xt.

I'm going back to ATI when I upgrade next. nVidia sucks.

I would like to see how it handles Flight Simulator X. That "game" is a beast

A beast is a under statement, I don't think any PC could run that with everything maxed out.

Not even joking. Of course the two 7900s kill in every other game (Oblivion, HL2, etc) but for some reason, the cards are crap with MVP. Which totally sucks-*** since its the game I play most by far. Tried everything.. settings, drivers, blah blah..

I run Flight Simulator X with everything maxed out and it runs and looks like a charm. I have no problems at all with it. Can't wait for the Directx 10 patch to come out for it...anyone have a clue when that will happen?

I think its going to coincide with the Adrenaline expansion pack which is suppose to come out in the fall.
