59FIFTY
Ok i have a little problem. Ik bought a glove on my vacation to florida its a Mizuno GMP 6, i use it about 5 hours a week and when i'm not using it, theres a ball in it with a bungee cord(nice stuff:P)tied around it. I even put it under my bed for a few days, but if i remove the bungee cord the pocket is formed to the ball(it looks like a bumb) but i play catch with it that shape is gone, how do you maintain that pocket? And it's still kinda stiff, what glove oil do you guys recommend that doesn't make your glove mutch heavier? I already read the whole break in treath but i don't want to take the risk that i ruin my glove.(it was 300 $ so i'm taking good care of it) This is the glove btw: http://www.eastbay.com/catalog/productdeta...109371/node--0/
kgbaseball
What I always used to go was put shaving cream on it and then put it in the oven for a couple hours. Broke in my 1b mitt in a couple days.

In the oven with shaving cream on or do you wipe that off at first?
krawhitham
soak in shaving cream, put in bag, park a car tire on it (helps if tire is attached to a car)

kgbaseball
In the oven with shaving cream on or do you wipe that off at first? You leave it on, and the heat from the oven causes the shaving cream to soak right in to the leather. Works great!
Kccitystar
it depends, there's a gazillion different methods as to how to form a pocket in the glove

59FIFTY
I read that alot of those techniques crack the leather/make the leather floppy/heavy. But i think i will just use it everyday(vacation for 9 weeks(A))

mattlittle
Rawlings make a break-in spray for gloves. Paid about $8 Aussie dollars. Worked a treat for my new infield glove. Just spray it on until it wont soak in anymore for a couple of days in a row and its ready to use.
Kccitystar
I own this sucker and it took me a week to break it in but it works like a charm. Some gloves come with the leather already oiled up, and some don't.
