New York Yankees - Rebuilding The Next Generation

Finally making another dynasty after a while - kinda long summer and I'm playing MVP Baseball quite often with the new build PC. Now that I'm playing MVP without lag, just smooth - good graphics (I love 8800gts) I might as well do something with it.

The idea of this dynasty is to just play it out - I will follow the Yankees transaction moves (such as sign Roger Clemens). I will just play the game with the opening day rosters for the Yankees only. No simming, just full blast fun of pitching, batting and fielding each game. I will bring up some promising young stars such as Phil Hughes, Tyler Clippard, Joba, Bronson Sardinha and many more.

I will include some different type of games during the all-star week, so check into that.

2007 New York Yankees Starting Rotation:

pavanostarterby9.jpgwangstarterzb3.jpgpettitestarterzf4.jpgmussinastarterdb4.jpgkeiigawapitchingeo3.jpg

Carl Pavano (RHP) - After a quiet 2 years Carl Pavano has now joined the Yankees rotation, but can all his health issues keep him long enough? In 2004 he was inked to 4 year deal that would make him a Yankee. But the deal failed as he was involved in bad health issues such as a minor car crash, brusied buttock, broken ribs, and several elbow tendon surgeries. He is highlighted as the Ace and the pitcher for opening day vs. Tampa Bay Devil Rays.

2007 Expectations : 10-9 (5.00 ERA)

Ching-Ming Wang (RHP) - After a fantastic 2006 the promising Yankee ace has known to dominate. Now going into his 3rd year in MLB service Ching-Ming Wang is known to go the distance in games. With an effective splitter he might get into some perfect games in his young career.

2007 Expectations : 20-9 (2.33 ERA)

Andy Pettitte (LHP) - Ex-Rookie sensation, Andy comes back to his first team The New York Yankees signing a 1 year deal with a player option to come back the following season. After a bitter-sweet 2006 season with the Houston Astros. Pettitte comes back to a team where he meets up with new teammates that could give him a 20 wins type season one more time.

2007 Expectations : 10-6 (3.00 ERA)

Mike Mussina (RHP) - "The Moose" comes back to the Yankees with a 2-year deal inked. He gives them innings and is a shut down pitcher when he is in his game. Mussina is getting older but that is not stopping him from getting his first 20 game winning season. With the type of lineup this years team has, skies the limit.

2007 Expectations : 14-10 (2.55 ERA)

Kei Igawa (LHP) - The Japanese investment comes to the Yankees with a 4 year deal and a former Hanshin Tigers of Japan. Another lefty into the Yankees rotation is just what they need. While good expectations of this 5th starter is quite slim he just may bring what he left in Japan.

2007 Expectations : 7-14 (5.02 ERA)

2007 New York Yankees Bullpen

Luis Vizcaino (RHP) : Vizcaino came over to the Yankees in a deal where the Yankees dealt Randy Johnson to a familiar team the Arizona Diamondbacks. Vizcaino was brought over to New York to eat up innings and strike some tough batters out kinda like what Ron Villone was used for the previous year.

2007 Expectations : 2-3 (3.45 ERA)

Kyle Farnsworth (RHP) - Farnsworth is a exceptional pitcher, he gets very tough outting when he loses the strike zone but throws 100 MPH. His future doesn't look too bright with the Yankees but has served no problems within the club-house.

2007 Expectations - 0-2 (3.01 ERA)

Scott Proctor (RHP) - Proctor comes back to the Yankees after leading the major leagues in appearances. Proctor has an effective 4-seam fastball, and a developing change that could really confuse the batters.

2007 Expectations : 7-4 (4.00 ERA)

Sean Henn (LHP) : Farm-grown Sean Henn will be experiencing his first opening day as a Yankee. He is a bit shaky when on the mound but Joe Torre believes he can be an effective pitcher throughout the season. Effective pitcher or it's back to the minors.

2007 Expectations : 1-2 (2.00 ERA)

Mike Myers (LHP) : The lefty specialist comes back to the Yankees after having a shaky first year with the Yankees. He is dominate when pitching a full inning with lefty batters due up. He also quoted himself that he is not afraid of throwing at Boston slugger David Ortiz inside.

2007 Expectations : 3-3 (2.43 ERA)

Brian Bruney (RHP) : With an effective fastball, and the heat he brings on the mound (said to throw over 97 MPH!) Bruney fits into the setup really nicely.

2007 Expectations : 3-4 (1.02 ERA)

Mariano Rivera (RHP) : Simply amazing! Rivera is never lost for words when pitching a regular game or pitching game 6 of the world series. Rivera the closer, brings his lighting fast cutter to the Yankee bullpen. While getting older he is known to blow more games as his career progresses. That won't stop him from getting a 30-50 save season.

2007 Expectations : 2-1 - 45 Saves (0.92 ERA)

Crawford Smacks Yanks; Bombers make late run but fail

By George Kar

pavanoka4.jpgcrawfordrbisl1.jpg

Left: Pavano makes first pitch since early 2005

Right: Crawford smacks his 2nd RBI in the 3rd Inning

New York - Carl Pavano's Yankee return hype was nothing but a fluke. Pavano lasted 6 innings - striking out 2 with no walks. The Yankees biggest mistake was making too many errors (Matsui ; 1, Jeter; 1, Abreu; 1). The Yankees tried to make a late rally during the 8th and 9th inning. Abreu smacked a RBI single and Posada smacked his 1st homerun during the 9th inning with 2 outs. The Yankees were surprised that the camera even caught Alex Rodriguez tipping his cap inside the dugout. "I did the best I could, the team was just a little weak on the defensive." commented American Idle, Carl Pavano. Joe Torre was found in his office with nothing but disgust, "It's a shame we had to lose the Home opener... something you don't expect losing, especially against this team."

Carl Pavano : 0-1

Scott Kazmir : 1-0

Final Score : 4-2

my expectations...

maybe around 80-90 wins... with this team maybe 100.

edit: I second that... I want to make this dynasty as unpredictable as can be.

Hideki Blast Game Winner Only To Be Aganist Great Defensive

New York (1-1) Tampa Bay (1-1)

iwamurahomer2tg5.jpgsuperman2ic3.jpghidekihomerse0.jpg

Left: Iwamura smacks 1st homerun in America and in the ML (see video)

Center: It's a bird! It's a plane! no it's Robinson Cano!.

Right: Damon greets Matsui after he blasts the game winning homer.

New York - The Tampa Bay Devil Rays came into this game thinking they would find another win. The Yankees battled back serveral times to stay in the game and they did. "Rays did a good job out there with there defensive" said Joel Maddon. Delmon Young did just that after robbing a Bobby Abreu homer in the 5th inning which would tie the game at 2; Young commented. "Did a good job... what do you want me to do? I mean there at home and Matsui did his job and won..." No further comments from Young as he rushed out from the press. "I'am pretty excited, it's about time this team won... we just have to focus on our defensive" Commented the English translator next to Hideki Matsui. Matsui, was also award Player of the game by the YES NETWORK.

Glad to see someone's actually using my uniforms. I'll definitely be checking in to see your screenshots...

yeah I'm really liking these uniforms (look very arcade-ish) you should release all of them in 1 package like KC, and other do.
