I've been really busy today and I'll probably get a chance to do the write-ups that I've missed tomorrow morning, which is 4-6 PM ET today for most of you.

Hey Rambo, this thing is looking sweet. Let's get them O's now. :) I see you have the ace of the staff finishing up the series. :p I sure wish you could get him to pitch like the ace, though. :D

Lets hope so. He's pitched well, but not well enough so far.

I have played the first game of the series, stay tuned for the update.

Sandoval, Zeta lead hit parade as Rays take down O's

The Rays notched hit after hit, with the tally reaching 13. But they could only manage to score 5 runs, enough to beat Baltimore 5-1 at Tropicana Field.

The Rays had numerous chances to blow the game wide open, with Johnluke Chaparro stepping to the plate 3 times with the bags full. He finished the night with only 1 RBI.

HFLR opened the scoring with a Sacrifice Fly in the 5th to give the Rays a 1-0 lead. Baltimore tied it in the 6th with a Miguel Tejada double to score Brian Roberts. But the Rays promptly added another in the 6th on a Michael Haylock bases loaded single to regain the lead. A 2 run single by Dave Pudge in the 7th gave the Rays some breathing room, making it 4-1. Another run was tacked on in the 8th when JL Chaparro hitting a sac fly.

Zac Neal pitched well, holding Baltimore to 1 run on 7 hits over 8+ innings.

Frank Duffy looked shaky in relief of Neal and the Rays called upon Mike Philsphan to get the final two outs in a non-save situation.

W: Neal (2-1) L: Loewen (0-2)

NOTABLE D-RAYS PERFORMANCES:

M Sandoval 3-4 , 2 2Bs

L Zeta 3-4

D Pudge 1-4 2 RBIs

Solid pitching, two 1st inning HRs power Rays

Jason Blizzard was unhittable, allowing just 3 hits in 8 and 1/3 innings and Michael Haylock and Chris Kelvarr hit solo homers in the first as the Rays defeated the O's 2-0.

Haylock's leadoff shot just made it over a leaping Aubrey Huff for his first longball of the season and Chris Kelvarr's shot was mammoth, landing on top of the Batters Eye Restaurant in straight away center field.

Blizzard held the O's in check to allow Mike Philsphan to close it out, allowing his first hit of the season, as well as notching another save.

W: Blizzard (1-1) L: Trachsel (0-3) S: Philsphan (3)

NOTABLE D-RAYS PERFORMANCES:

C Kelvarr 2-4, HR (5), RBI (7)

M Haylock 1-4 HR (1), RBI (3)

Wow...that was a BOMB! No way it was only 407 ft!

I also noticed that I am apparently not too patient at the plate. An OBP the same as my AVG tells me I have 0 walks, 0 HBP.

But 5 dingers? Do I lead the team?

Again, sorry for the long time between updates, too many things happening.

However, I should be able to play quite a few games in the next 24 hours as I have next to nothing to do.

Thanks HFLR, I'm glad that you are enjoying the dynasty. Let's see if your player can start hitting.

It's just habit for me to apologise, as most people I know are pretty impatient, but it seems that this group of people is more forgiving.

Pridham guides Rays to sweep of O's

Adam Pridham pitched like an ace for the first time in 2007, and a few wild defensive plays lead to 2 Rays runs as the Rays defeated the O's 2-0.

Pridham turned in a stellar performance, throwing a 7 hit shutout, and striking out 3.

Tampa did not have a hit until the 6th when Tim Huss singled and didn't score until the 7th when HFLR hit a bases loaded sac-fly to score Matthew Polites. The sac-fly followed a bizarre play which allowed Johnluke Chaparro to reach base. The ball was grounded to the 2nd basemen Chris Gomez, who saw that the runners on 2nd and 3rd were holding, yet he threw to the plate anyway.

The Rays tacked on another in the 8th when Lambda Zeta grounded into a double-play to score Max Nealsbro.

The win brought the Rays to .500 for the first time this season, just two behind the leading Jays.

COMING UP: The Rays face the AL Central leading Cleveland Indians.

W: Pridham (1-2) L: Bedard (0-4)
