rambo
Homers lead Rays over Yankees. The Rays defeated the New York Yankees 5-0 tonight for the first win against the team from the Bronx this year. It seemed that a pitchers duel was on offer with the only scoring in the first 5 innings being Mickey Stedfunk's homer in the 4th. The homer was absolutely crushed, the longest HR hit by a Ray this year, measuring 422 ft. Jason Blizzard turned in his 2nd consecutive excellent performance, throwing 7 and 1/3 innings of shutout ball before turning it over to the 'pen to shut the game down. Johnluke Chaparro added a 3 run shot in the 6th after Lambda Zeta had tripled home a run and Stedfunk had walked. W: Blizzard (2-2) L: Pavano (1-3) NOTABLE PERFORMANCES: M Haylock 2-4 L Zeta 2-4 RBI M Stedfunk 1-4 HR (4) JL Chaparro 2-4 2B, HR (4) Boxscore: http://dynasties.mvpmods.com/boxscores/users/rambo/TB20.htm Stedfunk's homer goes a long, long way. JL Chaparro hits one out to center.
