MrDudleyDoWright
**Home Sweet Home** New York (AP)- After a horrid road trip, the Mets looked to rebound against the struggling Braves. And they did just that. In the bottom of the first, Beltran. Wright, Delgado and Nady all homered back to back to back. The Mets would later get a 9-0 lead. Tom Glavine wins number 294, But wasnt sharp at all, he tired out fast and gave up 7 runs on 5 hits. But the Mets bats backed him up, sorta like "Ham and egging it" today. The Braves couldnt touch Joe Smith as he saved it for the first time in his career, and go on to win 10-8 New York Mets 10 --- Atlanta Braves

The Mets played the Rockies on a sogy day at Shea Stadium. Pedro Martinez went for the Mets as Aaron Cook went for the Rox. The Mets attacked first with a 5-0 lead. Pedro Martinez was keeping the Mets in the game, until he got hurt. Martinez threw a pitch to Todd Helton and was nodding his head in anguish on the mound. He was taken out with a pulled hammy. Jorge Sosa came on to relieve. This is when everything came down. Aaron Heilman came in to pitch the 8th, when the Rox attacked him and Joe Smith for 5 runs in the 8th and 3 runs in the 9th to give the Rox a 9-5 win over the Mets.
