A couple of quick questions concerning modding the datafile

Hello everyone...OK, I'm working on v2 of my sliders, but I had a couple of (hopefully) quick questions:

1. Modding the datafile, the 'perfectaccuracysize' used by spitoon changes it "from 0.25 to 0.10." Is this the actual size of the 'perfect accuracy' or is this a percentage of the overall 'accuracywidth' (that has also been lessened)? When I use .040 for 'accuracywidth' and 0.90 for 'perfectaccuracysize' what I would like to represent is "90% of the accuracy bar is perfect accuracy." I think this MIGHT induce more walks as pitchers wear out (although many pitchers have a rough first inning...it would be nice to start a pitcher at, say, 80% warmed up to better simulate this).

2. Is there a way to mod how much effort a knuckleball takes to throw it? I've noticed that, when I use knuckleball pitchers, they get a lot more mileage, especially if they throw only knuckleballs.....I don't want to tinker with this too much, but Steve Sparks is rated at a 74 and can go much longer than Jason Johnson who is rated at like 82.

:construct:

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

I'm sure a Datafile Modder will chime in here for ya, but if you want to know the ins/outs of the datafile, the two links below should be of some help. If you have already seen these, disregard.

Thanks Maestro23!

I've looked into RRodkey's tutorial and already found the answer to my second question in category 7..... Snepp's file looks like a lot of info too!

Good deal man. Looks like your putting a lot of thought into this datafile. Can't wait to see what you come up with. Good luck.
