Harry Potter, Book 7

Recommended Posts

Are y'all excited about it? I know I am. I am going to be in Prague when it comes out, but the week after that we got to Israel, where I'll buy myself a copy.

Too bad about all these leaks that kind of ruins what happens.

Please keep all plot discussion in ***SPOILER ALERT*** tags so that those who haven't finished the series up to this point don't get disappointed.

***SPOILER ALERT***

I want Harry to survive, but I get the impression that Voldemort made Harry into one of his horcruxes, and so for Harry to kill Voldemort, he has to sacrifice himself. I dunno.

I like the books.. Not a huge fan of the movies mostly because of all the content lost in the transition. Thats usually how it goes though, if you are a fan of a book, you will 90% of the time be disappointed in a movie adaptation.

Will definitely pick up the Deathly Hallows.

***** HALF BLOOD PRINCE Spoiler Alert *****

I think Snape is still a good guy and killed Dumbledore on orders so he could get close to Valdemort. Notice how he never attempted to more than knock Harry around in their duel. Still bugs me that at near 17, Harry got his *** kicked by Snape. Doubt Harry is a horcrux since he was trying to kill him off because of the prophecy. Doesn't make sense to kill the person you are trying to empart a sliver of your soul into. I wouldn't rule it out though. I do confess that I was rooting for Harry to kill Snape at the end of book 6. But after I was done reading and reflected on it... it would make sense that Snape was playing a part in bigger plan for the Order.

***** Spoiler Alert *****

It could go a lot of different ways so I am very interested to pick it up.

Snape is really a 50/50 call, and I've heard a lot of people saying that they believe Snape is a good guy, and only killed Dumbledore b/c Dumbledore instructed him to do so in order for him to get close to Voldemort. Personally I'm hoping that Snape is a bad guy, it'd be an interesting twist to learn that Snape deceived Dumbledore into trusting him. We still have never learned why Dumbledore trusted him, and I'm guessing that's something that will be revealed in the 7th book.

***** Spoiler Alert *****

A few Red Shirts die

Snape is a good guy, but dies in the book

Voldemort dies (duh)

Last chapter take place 19 years after Voldemort death

Ron marries Hermione they have two kids

Harry marries Ginny and has 3 kids

One of Harry's kids is worried he will be put in Slytherin house (so the cycle starts again)

I like the part where that person who wears that thing has the panic attack and dies...

I jest of course, I wish I could enjoy the HP books, but I never liked them since I read the first one, I really truly wish I could get into them though.

The first books are really 'kiddy' IMO. But they get darker and more adult the further along you go. I never thought I would like them either but have found them enjoyable as a whole.
