rabbit
Firstly, hi people. Ok, my problem is - i have some problems with batting. I'm not bad at pitching, but I suck at batting. I use a gamepad with 2 analog sticks. I've read the manual, but i dont get something - when should I move my stick, and in which direction. For example - a pitcher throws the ball towards my bottom left corner, and I want to make a fly ball. How should I use my left stick? Oh, and something else. I've installed an overlay, but I dont like it - can I unistalled it or not? I'm not a Brit or American, so I'm sorry if I make some mistakes. Thanks in advance. Ghostrider
http://public.planetmirror.com/pub/replace...Manual_-_PC.pdf That link will take you to the game manual, where hitting is explained, specifically page 3. Perhaps you aren't reading that properly...it seems pretty self-explanatory. As a right-handed batter, you will move the stick to the left to attempt to pull a pitch. Left & down will lead to a pulled ground ball if you hit the ball properly. Left & up will lead to a pulled fly ball. If you want to "go the other way" push the stick to the right. These situations are opposite for left-handed batters. Whether you pull the ball or go the other way also depends on pitch location. As for as the overlay goes, try downloading an overlay swapper. Search for it in the downloads section. You should be able to switch between overlays using that.
rabbit
Oh, thanks man, it should help me. Tell me something - can I press the Left Stick before the swing, or do I have to press the swing button and then press the stick? Doesnt it matter? Maestro23
Yes I have read that. Tell me something - can I press the Left Stick before the swing, or do I have to press the swing button and then press the stick? Doesnt it matter? You can press the stick in any direction before the pitch and hold it there. It's called "pre-loading" the swing.

You can push the stick before you swing. You don't have to wait for the pitch location icon.
rabbit
Great. Thanks guys! It took me a few months before I chose the All-Madden level in Madden NFL. MVP seems like a more difficult game right now, but that's true - practise makes perfect. :)
