UncleMo
Just wondering, are the animations from 04 the exact same as 05? I never owned mvp 04 so I would not know. Maybe mixing them up with 05, or replacing them could give the game a fresh feel again.

UncleMo
Thanks. Hmm. Is it worth getting a copy of 04 so replace or mix things (assuming I'd be successful)?
redsox
The 05 animations - especially the batting stances - are much better than those in MVP 2004. For example, the batting stance and animation of Manny Ramirez in 05 is so much similar to the real-life counterpart than the 04 version is. angryrat
what type of files are the animation files? (extension)
UncleMo
I was talking about stances, pitch deliveries, and mostly cutscenes and facial expressions that are showed depending on what happens in the game. Open your anim.big file and see. Haven't looked in months.
angryrat
Wow. First, they are .AXT files... not something I have ever heard of. Yahoo! says they are ZenWorks files. Dunno what that is either. Then, I opened up Magglio Ordonez batting stance with notepad.... yipes. Like, changing b_mordoneztostance to b_pujolsztostance and see if it changes in the game.
UncleMo
This is the kind of stuff I was wanting to get into. Let me know angryrat how things go. And thanks for getting it rollin'.
angryrat
Well, what I am more interested in doing is finding out where the information is for those 6 files within Ordonez stance. I am unsuccessful in finding the location of these files. I want to edit them. b_mordonezwiggle 1103875582 Dec 24 2004 00:06:22 b_mordonezstepback 1103875582 Dec 24 2004 00:06:22 b_mordonezstepfwd 1103875582 Dec 24 2004 00:06:22 b_mordoneztostance 1103875582 Dec 24 2004 00:06:22 b_mordoneztopreswing 1103875582 Dec 24 2004 00:06:22 b_mordonezpractice 1103875582 Dec 24 2004 00:06:
UncleMo
Exactly. This is why I've always thought, after seeing this stuff in notepad in the past, that we can only change the info or data that we see in the game. Same for player reactions in the dugout. Same for the manager arguing with the ump. And same for player reactions at the end of the game when they leave the filed and pretty much any other times you see animations. We can probably only alter it a bit, nothing earth shattering. And only change when we see what we see depending on what happened in the game.
