SwinginSoriano
Hasn't anything the Simpsons done since 1997 been a disappointment? I'll never bother. Too bad it sucked though. the movie wasnt really that funny n all the best parts were shown in the commericals. That's odd as the commericals reveal nothing about the plot. :p
Mav3rek
The plot is ridiculously stupid. The movie overall isn't all that great either. I was dissapointed, not to mention the 6,000 13-15 year olds there didn't help.
zneal89
That's expected at a CHILDREN'S MOVIE Maverek I live in the REAL Springfield. All that Vermont BS is garbage (I'm not really sour, as I'm not a HUGE Simpson's fan). There's an episode where Springfield's lemon tree takes on Shelbyville's orange tree, and Taylorville's tree (something goofy, if I remember right). Is it any coincidence that our Springfield here has a Shelbyville and a Taylorville no more than 50 miles away? Plus isn't Springfield a capitol city in The Simpsons? Last time I checked, Springfield, IL was the only capital city named Springfield ;)
MarlinsMS_35
i saw it yesterday. It was really funny, dry in some parts, but hilarious in others. I loved it. NOTE: MINI-SPOILERS BELOW The chalkboard says............. "Do not illegally download this movie" And then the best was...... While Bart was riding around on his skateboard naked, he passed by Ralph, and Ralph says "I like men now!" That was absolutely hilarious And then during the Itchy, Scratch movie............ Homer stands up in the theater and says "Why would we pay for this when we can watch for free on tv?" When thats what we we're all doing watching the simpsons movie Highlight to unveil the mini-spoilers..
pistonj92
It was funny, I liked it. Springfield is like its own state in the simpsons.
fred13
I thought it was great. I wasn't going in expecting a mind-blowing plot. Its the Simpsons after all. The jokes were great. They did some things in the movie that they would never do on the show though.

Last time I checked, Springfield, IL was the only capital city named Springfield Incorrect, Capital City is the capital of whatever state there in. They have given landmark references before, but some were from different states with Springfield in it. (a tunnel it that in Nevada, I think, plus they had an ocean in one before) The writers have said they have never based this on a real Springfield, but a combo of towns. They did some things in the movie that they would never do on the show though. just to re-iterate. and the rest of you are crazy. it's the greatest movie of all time. quite possibly the greatest thing EVER. they don't even make awards to describe this. we're talking oscars galore here people. el_jefe061
I actually thought it exceeded my expectations. I was expecting it to be as bad as the episodes have been the past few years, but I thought it was great. Overall, it was pretty stupid, but the jokes were pretty funny. Some of it was relatively smart, but most of it was pretty dumb. It really was just an extended episode, and it was more in the style of the later episodes, just not crappy. UncleMo
I just spent 11 bucks this weekend to see this looking for a great laugh, you know the kind you get when you usually watch a 30 minute episode. After seeing it halfway through I had one thing to say, and that is "Hated it" -In Living Color
