dassub
I'm in the middle of my first season, and I was wondering when the contracts say they have 1 year remaining, which year does it mean? I assume it means the next season, but I just want to confirm.

NickD
If it says 0 years left then they will be an FA at season's end

sharpmath
If it says one year, than it means their contract is running out at the end of that season. The only time it should show years as zero, and I'm not even sure it does this then, is when you're re-signing players at the start of the season. 1 yr = contract is up at the end of the CURRENT season. dassub
Alright last question then.. I have some players on 1 year remaining situations, will I get an opportunity to sign them during the offseason? Or do I have to sign them before the season is over? Thanks. Chickybomag14
You will have a chance to sign them in the off-season. I will say though if you have a good amount of money in the season then sign a couple big names or small names before the off-season so that then you don have to throw away some money that could be used to sign some good free-agents.
