WinnieThaPujols
I don't want to mess with sliders at all. I've done that for years. I'm on to datafile editing. Does anyone know -- meaning, not theoretically [eg: 'well, this is the name of this variable so it will probably do something -- of a way to make swing timing less important? I want outcomes of plays to be based more on ratings and less on swing timing. I find that I hit too many home runs with contact hitters. It seems that how well you swing is more important than your stats; whether or not it should be that way is not what this topic is about... I'm wondering if you can change it. I'm so sick of hitting like 20 HRs a year with Polanco's and Eckstein's playing on MVP with power at -30. It's stupid. And I know for a fact that the reason it happens is because of what I'm trying to describe... more rating-based results will lead to more of a simulation I think. Any ideas? kazmatsui10
i feel you winnie...i just feel disgusted if something's not realistic... sorry, i don't play w/ the pc version...:[ so can't help you out HOWEVER, when i play with mvp on my ps2 i tend to keep tweaking sliders until i get the desired effect...so keep tweaking until there are games that you actuacly DON"T hit hrs.... and if you want a challenge, then you should load "late"...idk if you do that or not....
