Hey guys, most of you might recognize me from the Royals dynasty I had going, a game crash happened involving atafiles so I had to start over, but who else then my precious Mets.

I will play with the roster that is current as of 8/2/07, meaning Beltran is on the DL, and Lastings Milledge, aka "Edge" or "L Millz" or "Thrilledge" will be my starting centrefielder.

I'm also going to be doing a 50 game schedule because I don't have time to do a 162 game season because I have this online SAT Review garbage.

Difficulty - MVP

Fielding - Manual

Strikezone - on

Hot/Cold Zones - On

Pitch Cursor - On

Hitters Eye - on

Rosters- KG 4.0 Plus, then I made all trades as of 8/2/2007

Datafile- SMMVP League Play Datafile.

Stadiums- Big O, Pirate, Others

Overlay- Trues MLB Fanasty Overlay v1.1

But most importantly, our most recent staff change.

LOL. Did you come up with these nicknames?

BTW, good luck with your dynasty. Hope you don't make ridiculous trades as some others have. I'll be checking in...

Why don't you use my 4.1 roster? It's already got all the deadline trades done, among others.

kg, i actually did install your 4.1 but my models.big got messed up, so i jsut used your 4.0 and did the trades in MVPEDIT, ou asnwered my question about that last night remember? how to trade players in MVPedit.

thanks bronx_bum, i only came up with L Millz because he came out with a rap album with his liflong friend Manny D, and his rap name was L Millz.

I won't make any trades, only if Mets get a player off of waivers in real life.

OpeningDay2007.jpg

Welcome to Shea Stadium

An approximate 48 Degrees Farenheit at the start of the game made fans wrap up and enjoy a nice day of Opening Day Baseball. After a so-so spring training, the Mets fans and the media still had high expectation for their beloved team, and one has to believe that the expectations were met. Tommy Glavine took the hill against the Nationals strong throwing righty John Patterson. It was an offenseive filled day for both teams, as they both mashed out 18 hits, but it jsut wasn't enough for the Nationals as the Mets were able to score twelve runs on the day. The Mets rookie centerfielder Lastings Milledge, who was filling in for the injured Carlos Beltran, went 4-4 on the day with 2 homers and 5 rbi's. Seems like he lived up to the name of Lastings "Thrill"edge. Looks like Manny Acta needs to talk to his pitching staff about watching runners, as the Mets were able to steal a total of 10 bases today, 5 of them coming from shortstop Jose Reyes.

The Mets look to continue the hot play, as John Maine will take the mound tomorrow night against Washington's righty Shawn Hill.

Nice stuff so far. Good luck with your dynasty. I'll be watching. And nice name for the dynasty too.

But, I disagree with Julio Franco as the manager. It's worse than Isiah coaching the Knicks ... LOL. I'd rather Bobby Valentine or even Davey Johnson.

The Wright Shot at the Wright Time

The New York Mets came into the game with high hopes and confidence as they looked to eliminate Washington Nationals starter Shawn Hill early, and they did just that. On the first pitch of the game, Jose Reyes went opposite field as he lined a shot into the National's bullpen, giving the Mets an early 1-0 lead. In the top of the 3rd, Maine was looking sharp until he gave up a game tying 2-run homer to Nationals 2B Felipe Lopez, his first of two homers on the night. The Mets were able to answer right back though when in the bottom of the 3rd, David Wright lined a double of the left field wall and was singled in by Delgado. In the top of the 7th, Maine had a 5-2 lead until Felipe Lopez stepped up to the plate with runners on 1st and 2nd, and blasted his second homer of the night, a hreat-crushing shot into the Mets bullpen. The Nationals would end up taking a 6-5 lead. However, the Mets were not done. In the bottom of the 9th, with 1 out in the inning, Jose Reyes lined a triple into the right center field gap and then was drove in by a bloop single that Christian Guzman almost caught. Luis Castillo was gunneed down at second base by Nationals catcher Brian Schneider, making it a tie game with two outs. Up stepped David Wright, and he smacked a walk-off solo shot off the right field scoreboard to give the Mets a 7-6 victory, on a chilly April night.

Roster Changes

After the recent struggles of right-fielder Shawn Green, the Mets will now start utility man Marlon Anderson in his place. Green will work with Howard Johnson, the Mets hitting coach over the next few weeks and regain his sweet stroke.

Mets Sweep Nats!

It was an electric night at Shea Stadium, as 48,432 came out to see the New York Mets attempt to complete a season openng sweep of the Washington Nationals. Orlando "El Duque" Hernandez took the hill against the southpaw from Washington, Matt Chico. The Mets were able to jump off to an early 1-0 lead when Luis Castillo knocked in Jose Reyes with a line drive base hit up the middle. Luis Castillo stole the show tonight as he was hot at the plate, and showed some flashy defense as well. Castillo went 2-4 with an RBI and 3 stolen bases.

El Duque had some control problems on the mound, as Ryan Church, Christian Guzman, Ryan Zimmerman and Austin Kearns were all able to mash out RBI's against, but once again that exceptional New York Met run support came to the rescue. Billy Wagner closed the door on the nats, getting them 1,2,3 in the ninth to earn his first save of the year and complete the sweep of the Washington Nationals, upping the Mets record on the year to 3-0.

Marlins Lay Down a Beating

What the?

It was a blowout at Shea Stadium. With the Marlins coming into town, the Mets excpected to cruise right on by and beat the Marlins, but they did everything but that. Oliver perez took the mound against Florida's Sergio Mitre. Sergio held the Mets hitless through 4 innings until they finally managed to scratch out two hits against him. Florida was able to get off to an early lead when in the top of the 1st inning, phenom and electric shortstop Hanley Ramirez cranked an opposite field homer off of Oliver Perez, giving the Marlins a 1-0 lead.

It was just the beginning of an offensive filled day for the Marlins, as they were able to crank out a total of 15 runs against the Mets, taking the victory 15-2. Yes, 15-2.

It's a good thing Florida doesn't do that in real life. Otherwise, we'd be in trouble at the end of the season.

Are you doing anything with the box scores or end of week stats? I'm curious as to see how many steals Reyes has especially after the first game. Nice dynasty so far. Good luck.

Rehab Start for K-Dro Goes Exceptionally Well

Port St.Lucie, FL

Pedro Martinez made a rehab start today, continuing his process to make it back up to the majors. Pedro looked phenominal as he pitched a complete game shutout, giving up only seven hits and having a great night.

yea i use MVPSavReader, but it puts the players stats way out of proportion, like it says D-Wright has 28 homers and 103 RBI's, and he really only has 1 of each lol, so idk what the deal is there.

BTW Reyes has 6 stolen bases, he has only stoeln one since Opening Day, haha!
