autohf_
I'd like to extract the crowd sounds from the game MVP Baseball 2005, but I don't know where they're located or how to edit them. I've been searching the forums for the past half hour, and I haven't figured it out. I'd eventually like to convert them into .wav files. Any help would be appreciated. UncleMo
hey. what do you plan on doing with them by the way? Go here, by the way: dataaudiocd folder, and inside of that folder are the various crowd noises. The ones I call crowd files are in the aems folder and it is the file called crowd4a.ast Go to eamods.com, get the asf importer exporter. I would upload it here but I can't get any help all day getting my stuff uploaded here. Anyway, go to eamods.com, get that tool. That will allow you to extract all .asf files. Then, on eamods.com, get the sx express that I've uplaoded there. You can use that to convert all of your files to .wav in no time. In the other folders is where you'll find chant files, rally files, heckels, vendors, etc. in case you're looking for that stuff. Also on eamods.com you'll see that I've uploaded some crowd files that are already modded for you to use. Try them out and see if you can get what you're looking for. Could save you a ton of time. autohf_
Thanks a lot! I appreciate your response. I noticed the asf importer exporter, but I didn't know if it could open the crowd4a.ast file. I'm a mapper for another game (Half-Life 2), and I've created a stadium. I'm looking to use the crowd noises as background audio in my stadium map. It's all freely distributed, I'm not looking to make money off of it or anything. Thanks again. UncleMo
Then you may also want this: http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/tagsViewSingle.php?id=2570 type in various words to search for and you'll get even mor esounds. Also, if your stadium is soccor themed, you can get free sound mods from fileplanet or filefront. I got a ton from there too.
