kgbaseball
I'm looking to start a simple website for my roster and Total Portraits, among other things, and I need a WDT to do so. What should I use? Keep in mind I have no experience using this stuff, and I have no idea how to write any scripts. I'm a fast learner, but using the easiest tools possible would be the way to go. Any suggestions? Freeware would be nice.
jhath
lol i can tell you what kraw would say "grow some balls and use NOTEPAD" pretty much the exact way with the large red all caps notepad
redsox
I would recommend Dreamweaver. I have played around with it and its quite easy to use. You can also try out MS Frontpage, though I am not sure how good it is - never tried it before.
Guildster
Serif has an easy to use Free version of WebPlus. It's a wysiwyg interface so you don't need to know HTML, Js, etc., but it helps if you do. I think it even comes with some templates. I use their latest version professionally and have for a couple of years now. http://www.freeserifsoftware.com/

Maestro23
ROFL at jhath. That's how I started out. I learned my basic HTML that's for sure. If you want something that is free and in the same area of say FrontPage and Dreamweaver you can take a look at NVU. Guildster
He doesn't need Dreamweaver to do what he wants to do.
themewin
Like others have said, torrent Dreamweaver CS3. Download some website templates and tweak and change a bunch of stuff. Or you can totally revamp and take some ideas from others and add your own twist. But Dreamweaver makes it all easy.

Dan
I insist on Notepad. Best way to make a website is get your hands dirty with HTML. That's how I learned. But whatever you do, PLEASE don't use FrontPage. I've had horrible experiences with it, mainly something like this: -dan P.S. don't use tables in HTML. baaad juju. seanzarelli
I use Dreamweaver and Frontpage, depending on the mood I'm in. Also, CSS is fun to play with, but you need to code it differently to display the same in both Firefox & IE, which is where I'm having problems.
