X-199
I've been runnin' into a problam lately. For some reason cami02's faces makes the game crash, but for example salva's and thr33nil's ones work perfectly. Anybody know why this happens and how to fix it? What is the difference between those faces?
kgbaseball
Most likely cami02 doesn't compress his files before uploading them. You should use krawhitham's Total Installer Thingy to install those faces; it'll compress them for you.
X-199
I tried TiT, but nothing happens. What I did: 1) Executed TiT 2) Chose a .zip file containing the cyberface I wanted to compress 3) Pressed DO IT Nothing happened? I checked my models.nig file and it didn't have anything new installed. Did I do something wrong?
Homer
make sure the cyberface number assigned to it matches
X-199
You mean? Sorry I'm new with all this stuff but I'd appreciate more detailed information. Is TiT supposed to add the fsh, orl, ord files to models.big from the zipped file?

Is TiT supposed to add the fsh, orl, ord files to models.big from the zipped file? Yep, that's what it does, then in MVP edit you have to assign the correct id number to that face. What he means is that the file name of the cyberface must match the ID of the player that you are trying to install the cyberface for.

You can't install a zip-file with the TiT

redsox
I thought the program does support .zip formats. Supported archive formats are: 7z, zip, rar, & ace I may have mis-understood it, but I think it does read those files. I really haven't use this program yet. Still sticking with Installer Thingy.

Homer
the TiT supports 7z, zip, rar, & ace. what you need to do is unzip the cyberfaces. then open up MVPedit and make sure the cyberfaces match the id numbers. if they don't, either change it in MVPedit or rename the fsh, orl and ord files. i suggest renaming them. then rezip the files and TiT will do the rest. I did that but it still crashes. Here's the detailed story: I've got a face that apparently isn't compressed and makes the game crash when I import the files with EAGraph into models.big. The face files fsh, orl and ord are all named c888 for example, and in MVPedit the face ID assigned for the player is 888, and 04/05 style is correct. What should I do to make it work? TiT supports only those zip, rar ect filetypes named above, so what I did was compress fsh, ord and orl and open the zipped file with TiT and pressed "DO IT", but apparently it does nothing because when I checked afterwards with MVPEdit, there was still the old face/no new faces added. So, what's wrong? :toothless:
Homer
you have TiT installed wrong. if the numbers match, and the 04/05 styles are correct, then it should work because it should install it and compress it.
DJAelbi
My game crashes after I've installed a few cyberfaces. I have installed them right because some faces work and some crash the game. Is the only distinction between an 04 face & 05 face the half face view vs. the whole face view? Because if not, then how can you tell? Also, I wonder why everyone who makes faces doesn't note which face style they are.

Make a batch file or download mine that I uploaded in the sticky that I started the topic on in the "announcement" section here in the forums. Look at the first post there. Then use eagraph to install the 3 files to the models.big Here's a link in that will make it easier for you.

As far as people noting if the face they released is an 05 face or an 04 face, most do note. (note... being an 04 or 05 face with your game listing it incorrectly will not cause game crashes) However, even if they don't note it, you can look for yourself with a program called fshed (available on this website for download) or eagraph or nfshtool. (though nfshtool is probably a bit more difficult to use to view than the other 2 programs)
X-199
Well I found that I had downloaded the Installer Thingy long time ago and now everything works. TiT for some reason didn't do the job.
