DJAelbi
Reggie Willits? My version of him comes with the wrong cyberface number or he doesn't have one. Also, I was wondering if anyone out there had a desire to make Pat Listach, Ced Landrum, Chuck McElroy, Cecil Espy, Bruce Hurst, Chico Walker, or Eric Yelding cyberfaces for a early 90's roster I'm working on? I've tried to make a couple cyber faces and I'm still trying to figure all that out. can't seem to get them to work in the game right yet. I thought some of you experts out there my have a easier time.
Homer
what do you mean you can't get them to work? what did you do? i have hurst and espy on my todo list. whenever i get my monitor fixed, i'm gonna start doing some more faces. for the rest of them, i have no pics of them. if you have pics, you can post them in my thread and i'll add them to my list. Homer
i think i might just buy a monitor. this way i know i'll be getting a pc in the future, so i'll already have one. plus no sense in spending nearly 800 on a monitor for a laptop that i'll probably replace within the next couple of years too. DJAelbi
I dunno what I did, but I'll try again when I can think again. It's a little brain damage the first time trying to manipulate the faces. Hard work guys, hard work. Anywho, There are some pictures on google image of a few of thoses guys. Pat Listach has a pretty good image I feel. A little small but should work. Ced Landrum & Eric Yelding pictures are up there too. Not so much frontals, however. Homer
you're gonna have to be a little more specific than up at google remember how many places that could mean. anyhow, if you find a picture, post it.
tebjr
I'm trying my hand at face making Homer. angryrat said he'd help with some faces as well as time permits. I'm using Jogar's tutorial. The problem I'm having is after I cut out the face, getting it sized correctly over the head model.
Homer
sweet. all the help i can get the better. two ways you can help yourself line up the textures: 1. set the opacity of your face layer down as low as you need. i usually use about 50-75%. this makes it see thru, so you can model it as necessary. hit Ctrl T to use the transform function to move, reshape and rotate as needed. 2. this one i actually use most of the time now. i use the line tool and pick an obvious color, such as red. set the width at one pixel. i draw lines to mark places of interest on the face texture. i'll mark lines at where these are supposed to be: 1. right down the center connecting the center of the nose to the center of the lips 2. eight vertical lines marking the inner and outter edges of each eye, nostrils, and mouth 3. 3 horizontal lines marking the center of the lips and eyes. after this select all of those layers you just created with these lines and group them (Ctrl G). make sure you paste the picture of your new cyberface below this group. then move it around and resize it as necessary. once you think you have it lined up right, simply deselect the group of lines. then comes the fun part... DJAelbi
Someone already made a Pat Listach for the 1994 roster with a portrait, but without the right cyberface. Can the original person who made this portrait possibly upload to the site so that a cyberface can be made or even better yet make one? It's trapped in the 1994 roster which a mbe file can't be made from. The other 1994 mbe that can be downloaded doesn't have the portrait as well as many other differences to other players. By the way, if anyone has found a way to get a game saved roster into mp3 edit let me know. I would love to be able to edit one I worked on before I started using mvpedit. Homer
wow, what? let's see now: a portrait is not going to be a good enough picture to make a cyberface from. trust me on this one. portraits have nothing to do with the mbe files. portraits are found in the portraits.big file in the frontend folder. mvpedit merely allows you to view the portrait in conjunction with the data roster files. and the mbe file for the 1994 mod is posted in hory's thread over at eamods. again, it has nothing to do with portraits except the fact that mvpedit reads which portrait id is associated with that player and then it matches it to your portraits.big file so that you can preview it. and i'm assuming you're asking about turning a saved game into an mbe file and not an mp3 file, so it's readable in mbe format, which is viewable with mvpedit. if this is so, and it's for a dynasty you started, then you can look up a thread by tywiggins where he submitted his "importer/exporter" tool. it'll do the trick. if it's just a saved roster file you're using, then load it in your game and start a dynasty and then use the tool and you can edit it from there. DJAelbi
Sorry, Of course I meant MVPedit, but the other thing that I was trying to find out was.... How do I take a saved roster from the game and use MVPedit on it. You know when you are using the game and you make changes to lineups and make trades to your roster, but not in a dynasty, but just to the default roster. You can then name it and such. How do you take that roster and edit it using MVPedit?
