redsox
- Game 6 ALCS in 2004 for so many reasons - Schilling, A-Rod, forcing a game 7 after being down 3-0 - something no team had ever done. - Game 5 ALDS 1999 - Pedro's lights out performance (6 IN of no hit ball in relief). This has got to go down as one of the best performances in baseball. Pedro was phenomenal that year as he won the Cy Young Award as well as the triple crown for pitchers. krawhitham
1975 game 7 Reds down by 3 early they scored the winning run in the top of the 9th to win 4-3 after the 5th inning still down by 3 and coming the day after Fisk's 12th innings blast to knot the series at 3-3 most Reds fans thought we were screwed. NYM
1986 Mets vs. Red Sox. Game 6 Its 5-3 in the bottom of the tenth inning. The first two outs are retired and all hope is lost for the Mets. Or maybe not. Gary Carter singled to left, then pinch hitter Kevin Mitchell singled to center. Knight after falling to 0-2 singled to score Carter making the score 5-4. Mookie then got up to the plate, and after having an eventful at bat, had a pitch throw at him. He did all he did to get out of the way, and the ball ended up at the backstop. Tie game. 5-5. Then one of the most famous plays in baseball. Mookie hits a groundball to Bill Buckner, who lets the ball go through his legs. Mookie touches first, Knight races around third base, waving his hands in the air and jumping while crossing home plate. Shea went wild, and the Amazins' pull off the most impossible win in the most crucial situation. There is no better game in baseball history then Game 6. Yankee4Life
Mookie did not have a pitch "thrown at him" it was a wild pitch. Yes, it was a wild pitch, although some would say Rich Gedman should have been called for a passed ball. No NYM, there was no way Wilson got thrown at during that situation. Not at all.
