Just got it in the mail!

I just received my new copy of MVP '05 through Ebay ($60 and I assume it will be worth every penny). After months of PS2 play and intense envy of all that goes on here, I'm finally ready to join in.

One problem that I haven't found a solution for on the forums so far is that I seem to be messing up the installation of Trues' pitch meter position fix. I've extracted the files into the frontend dir. and clicked the installer but nothing changes. The meter is still cut off.

I also tried just extracting them into a different folder and pasting the .fel file into the fronted dir. and installing, but nothing works.

The Readme seems simple enough:

1. Extract contents of this file to your MVP Baseball 2005datafrontend dir.

2. While in that dir. click on the install.bat file.

3. Play the game.

Where am I going wrong? By extract I assume I should open the entire downloaded package with Winrar and select datafrontend and then click the install file in that same dir.

Does the .fel file need to be extracted on it's own?

and if I can't get this to work will installing a different overlay work? Or is this a datafile issue?

make sure you have gfxpak in you main directory. Here is the download link to it.

GFXPAK

Now the reason for this is that if you run a installer/batch file to install certain things, it wont work. GFXPAK makes the world go round when dealing with batch files.

Thanks for responding so quickly but GFXPAK is there in the frontend dir. It was in the .rar file for the patch and I extracted it into fronted along with everything else.

I tried downloading it again through your link and installing everything again but no luck. When you say the main directory I assume you mean datafrontend?

When I run the installer, the dos prompt pops up and it's doing something. It just goes by too quickly to read it but I assume it is in fact installing.

As Thome25 said, it needs to be place in the main "MVP Baseball 2005" directory. If in doubt, it is the one that holds the mvp2005.exe file. That should get you going.
