rldangler
I am a 2004 mvp baseball player and stumbled onto this site by accident when looking for a way to open SAV files for my rosters. I am kind of bummed to see that 2004 has pretty much died out though. Does anyone know where I should look for a cheap copy of 2005 for the pc? Doesn't have to be new, used would be fine. Thanks, and I can't believe there are other people still playing this game. I can't tell you how thrilled I am about that.
BigRog
the only place is ebay and their going for 60 to 70 dollars their and thats USED edit: someone here might sell you their copy cheaper or maybe you could find it in a bargain bin at a store (this being the hardest way to get the game)
rldangler
$60 or $70 used doesn't quite seem reasonable. I'll have to look around some more I guess. I loved playing 2004 though until my harddrive just took a dump with my two year dynasty team and roster on it. Now I've started to remake the rosters but that will probably take me months. BigRog
it is supply and demand ea cant make the game anymore because they lost the rights. its now considered a classics game

piranesi
The copy I got on Ebay last week came with the box and instruction booklet and was, if not new, barely used...no scratches. It was "sealed" but I couldn't really tell if it was factory sealed or re-sealed. But for all realistic purposes it was "new." That was $65.00 and it was a "buy it now" deal. Another used copy went for only $44 about the same time...but two others ended up going higher than what I paid. There is at least one guy on Ebay now who claims to have ten new "in the box" games he's selling for $59 each. His feedback all seems positive. and the guy I bought my copy from is selling another copy for the same price "buy it now." I can tell you this. This three-year old game is worth more than any ten "new" games I can think of...so $65 was worth it. I can't imagine that any game will take my attention from this any time soon. I would take that in place of dropping $10 to $30 each for five or six games that I end up enjoying for a few weeks each before I trade them in. That $65 is going to end up being my last gaming purchase for a long time. It's almost mythic the effect this game has...I owned the PS2 version for about a year, but never really took it seriously until about a month ago and it just overwhelmed me. Then I found this forum and within days I was actively bidding for a PC copy. MVP'07 is like the video game I was waiting to happen since I was a kid playing PureStat Baseball on the Commodore 64 and surrendering a maddening number of homeruns to "Contos" of "The Champs" in Hardball. Yeah, we never got our hoverboards...but we did finally get a great baseball sim.

UncleMo
This game, given the fact that I played it 2 years and more is well worth about 150 buckeroos. edit: due to the mods and tools you can DL to change your game.
stljeffbb
I dunno.....I got mine for $41.99 new-in-box on EBAY, but I had to pay shipping so it came out to just over $50....based on all of the fun I've got oout of it, it was worth it!

SaME here, With all the mods which are easy to install, and the fact that u practicly get a new game when the 08 mod comes then the 09 mod, the possibilities are endless. maxbjr
And then you can count the mods like Total Classics, 1978, 1994, 1967, & 1961,... you could easly spend upwards of $200 to $300 with all the mod exspantions out, if you bought it at a store. so $50-65 is a pretty good deal. BigPaPa
it is well worth it. I was very very lucky and bought the game for computer shortly after the end of the 2005 baseball season for about 15 dollars and then didnt pick it up again until about a year ago when i stumbled upon this site trying to get roster updates for Madden 06. its like paying 65 dollars for as many baseball themed games as you can think of. Some people even find they enjoy modding the game more than playing it. Even though i only paid 15 for it i would gladly pay 150 for it now

rldangler
Thanks for the input, I still can't believe there is an active community playing what is really a 3 year old game. I guess I'll have to suck it up and go the ebay route because I think I tried everywhere else.

apridham
I got my copy off E-Bay a few months ago, and I tell you something, it is worth every penny you will spend on it. No game has ever captured me like this one. Any other game I ever had, I lost interest very quickly. This one has just captivated me. This game rocks! EA, you made a wicked game! Guildster
EA, you made a wicked game! EA made the game. The Modders made it wicked. Seriously, buy a copy of this game now while you still can. Every day that goes by the price creeps up and the availability goes down.
