Help with Total Classics Mod

Recommended Posts

This is what I posted on the Total Classics forum. I'll post this on here hopefully for a faster reply.

I recently downloaded the Total Classics 1978 Mod. I clicked on the .exe file and nothing happened. Apparently I clicked on it again and there was a quick message before closing out. I managed to catch a bit of it and it says that the "file is too big". Can someone help me with this?

Much thanks.

Which .exe file are you talking about? The "total_classics_1978.exe" file, which extracts all of the files or the "TC1978_Installer.exe" with actually installs Total Classics 1978?

"total_classics_1978.exe" file is the file. When I downloaded it all I got were the readme files and and that file I mentioned. I don't see an installer anywhere.

The total_classics_1978.exe file is a self-extracting file that contains the installer and all of the files that make up the mod itself. If you read the installation instructions, it mentions this. If you are able to run this file, it extracts all of the files and the installer. You would then run the installer to actually install the 1978 mod.

Do you have any other programs running (web browser, games, etc.) when you try to run the total_classics_1978.exe file? How much free memory do you have on your PC and how much free memory do you have?
