Darkslide820
http://mvpmods.com/Forums/viewtopic/t=1241...5/start=15.html Check out the long post by biker_jim_uk This stuff seems way too complicated for me. I'm not even gonna attempt making my own name on there. In a related question: Which of these steps do I have to do if I just want to copy a name, not edit one? Homer
it just looks more complicated than it is. if you want to copy the name, you still have to go through the process. really, just do it. once you start doing it, you'll see how simple it really is. here's a post i made before about it below. really, it's simple. just follow the steps one by one. read what biker jim writes about figuring out how to extract the audios you're going to edit. you can skip the whole creation center thing. just use what's below. i learned to do with some help from 69impala i believe. there's a tutorial in markb's all encompassing faq list. i believe biker_jim posted it. i'm sure you'll read it and have questions, so ask afterwards. but i just use these files www.megaupload.com/?d=PILEXSWN i'm not sure where i got these from so i can't give proper credit, but i believe it was unclemo. i set it up this way for easy use. just drop your dat files in there and open the "mosx" program and it automatically converts to wav for you. i then just use the windows sound recorder to edit it. once done, change the audio to whatever number you want, then right click the "mosx dat" program, edit, and type in the numbers you want. then run it and it converts back to dat for you. then there's the hdr files. i use the site below for the hex editing part and www.funduc.com/fshexedit.htm for the actual editing. www.geocities.com/binary_converter/
