My Dynasty Scare

Alright, I just started a dynasty with the Giants. I simulated the 2007 season, as it is almost over anyway, and I don't like Barry Bonds, but that's a whole other topic. Also I wanted to rebuild an aging team.

Anyway, it's opening day, and we're playing the Marlins. Zito v.s. Dontrelle. Zito doesn't do too bad. He gave up 2 runs and 5 hits over 7 innings. But the D-Train was awsome. After about 5 innings of perfect baseball I got scared. I'll admit I panicked a little bit. I started chasing junk, and getting way out in front of change ups. So it's the top half of inning number 9. The first two batters go down easy. I sub Hector Luna for the pitcher's spot, and get in a 1-2 hole. I'm freaking out now. Then he throws me a change, and I get a little out in front of it. It chops off the dirt in front of home plate and bounces over Dontrelle's head and lands between him and Dan Uggla. Willis picks it up, but Luna is too fast and gets an infield single. I lost the game, but I didn't care. I didn't get perfect gamed and that's a relief.

Has anyone else had such a scare? Or have you been perfect gamed?

The biggest dynasty scare i had was against the Marlins. I had a perfect game with Tom Glavine, going into the 9th. And i was facing the 7-8-9 guys, i was winning 2-0. I gave up 3 home runs in a row. I was losing 3-2. But i came back anyways, cause thats how i roll :)

I was playing a dynasty a while back, and Mark Prior was on the hill. He had a perfect game going through 9 but I hadn't scored either, so I kept him in. He continued to be perfect for 18 1/3 innings (his energy was at 0% by the 14th or so, but he was still effective so I kept him in just for the hell of it), when the Braves hit back-to-back homers in the top of the 19th (bye-bye perfect game, no-no, and shutout just like that). Fortunately, Derrek Lee came through in the bottom of the 19th and hit a walkoff 3-run bomb. It was the craziest game I have ever played, and will probably never be replicated.
