Odd Glove and Tampa Bay & Texas Crashing

I installed "Spungo's Fielding Glove Mod", and then started having problems.

First the first baseman's mitt looked like this (see attachment below).

Then the game crashes every time I use Tampa Bay or Texas in a game. It makes no difference if they are home or away.

My game setup is original install, adding my own downloaded mods. I had the following:

EA patches 3 & 5

Rosters UR8.5

KC's frontend art and loading screens

KC's Total MLB Uniform Pack 126

Updated Portraits, ball, bases, audio

I have tried several times to uninstall and reinstall. Uninstalling and deleting anything related to MVP 2005. No luck.

Everything works fine until I install the new rosters. Tried both UR 8.4 and UR 8.5. The glove shows up in both rosters. But Tampa Bay and Texas only crash when using UR 8.5.

I saw the glove problem in another thread. mvpmods.com/Forums/vie...19812.html

Can anyone help or advise what I should do?

I hate to bump this, but no one has responded. My problem is still the same.

I even d/l MVP 2007 Mod. Still have the same problem.

I have ran a search of any folders/files connected with MVP Baseball, even when into the registry. Deleted all folders/files associated with MVP Baseball.

Then tried a clean install. When I add the UR 8.5, problems with glove, Tampa Bay and Texas are still there. What am I missing or doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.

The problem fix it in MVPedit,download it and put another glove's color,export the change,download and replace the stadium for texas.Run the game! I hope that you can play the game without problem. Excuse for my bad english! :mrgreen:

Using UR8.5 rosters.

I went through all 120 teams (Major & Minor). Made a list of all first baseman that had the screwie glove. Then went into MVPedit and changed each color.

Updated all stadiums to the latest version.

The gloves are gone, but game still crashes when using Texas and Tampa Bay, whether they are home or away. You can use any field, but game crashes whenever you try to play with Texas or Tampa Bay.

I installed UR8.4 rosters, screwie gloves are there, but game does not crash when using Texas & Tampa Bay, no matter what stadium.

So it appears to be an issue with the UR8.5 roster and not the glove color or stadiums.

I guess I'll wait until next week, when the new rosters come out.

Does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I installed UR 8.6 rosters. I still have red/yellow-green glove and game crashes when playing Tampa Bay and Texas. All other teams work. It's just when you use Tampa Bay or Texas, one or both. The stadium makes no difference.

This started after I installed "Spungo's Fielding Glove Mod". I currently have reinstalled the game and only added all new stadiums and your rosters. I tried 8.4, 8.5 and 8.6. I get the screwie glove with all rosters, even after the reinstall. UR 8.4 has the screwie glove, but does not crash. The game crashes using 8.5 & 8.6.

I fixed the glove color in Ur 8.5, but the game still crashes. I'll have to go back into MVPedit to fix the color in 8.6. But what is causing Tampa Bay and Texas to crash? Can I send you a copy of my database folder? Would that help you find the problem?

Why can't I get a new clean install of the game?

I have deleted everything associated with MVP Baseball 2005, even checked the registry files. Still can not get a clean install. Something is embedded somewhere.

I d/l and installed "Big Shmooz-Kcciytstar unis Models.big".

This seems to have corrected the problems. I haven't tried all teams yet or stadiums, but Tampa Bay and Texas no longer crash. Ranger Ballpark at Arlington and Tropicana Field are ok.

Since my problem seemed to be roster related (player portrait or cyber face as some had suggested), it corrected itself with d/l and all the things that Big Shmooz included in his models.big.
