nick12qb
hi, this is actually my first post, but I've hung around for a while here, so I thought I would at least say hi before asking my question. I am planning on using a new computer, but I have a dynasty that I am crazy about on the one I am currently using, and I would like to avoid having to start over. Is there a good way to get my dynasty over to the new comp? I assume that copying over the program file folder and the saved games folder in the documents would be insufficient as the installation probably relies on files I can't hope to move properly. I was going to just install the game on the new PC, and install the total conversion 07 mod in addition to all of the add ons I have from my current install, and then place my dynasty file in the correct folder and see what happens. Also, I'm sorry I'm really loading this post, but has anyone had success running MVP on an intel mac in XP using boot camp or even parallels or VMware? I'm primarily a mac guy, and my MVP pc was my secondary computer, but as Im upgrading to an intel mac I was hoping to consolidate the two. Thanks! TwentySeven
Just install all the mods you want on your new computer, and copy the dynasty into the dynasties folder, it should work perfectly fine. To transport a dynasty, you literally only need the dynasty file, the proper models.big, and the actual game.
redsox
I usually have a backup of my current install of MVP so that I if I were to do a fresh install, I wouldn't have to spend a whole lot of time to get the game to how it was before. Just burn the MVP Baseball 2005 folder (in the c-drive and as well as the one inside the my documents folder) onto a DVD. If you can't burn it on a DVD, just burn the files on multiple CDs as data. Hope this helps.
