Expos make perfect start to 94 season Vs Cubs.

Montreal Expos 3

Chicago Cubs 2

Attendance 48,220 Game Time 2:40

Game MVP-Moises Alou 1-3 HR RBI BB K

WP-Scott Stewart

LP-Anthony Young

The Expos started great on the back of Alou's solo shot in the first inning but the Cubs tied the game at 1 a piece in 3rd. Expos defence near threw away the game on 2 throwing errors that allowed Sosa to reach 2nd base and eventually come round to score later in the inning. The game looked poised to go into extra innings following a perfectly executed suicide bunt in the top of the 9th for the Cubs to tie again at 2 but Montreal had other ideas, following a Wil Cordero double, Anthony Young walked Alou and Walker to load the bases and with one out Sean Berry delivered a sac fly to win the game.

End Of April

Expos finish month with the best record in MLB

Expos powered their way to a 19-7 record through the month of april behind superb performances by Moises Alou and Pedro Martinez. Alou has posted a .479 batting average with 11 home runs and 32 RBIs and Pedro pitched his way to a 4-1 record in 6 starts and 1.89 ERA in 38 innings pitched.

Ace Ken Hill has started 6 games and got a record 1-0 with a 4.14 ERA. Not what Expo fans expected from him at the start of this year.

The entire Expo line up is performing well to date. No batter has an average below .250 and all have a minimum of 10 RBIs
