Valery Prikhodko
Sorry for stupid questions -- I'm sort of new to the baseball... What the difference between "pitch around" & normal pithcing. I play long time out of a park baseball and understand in theory but on practice what I need to do? My best closer (Mariano Rivera) have ERA 4.60 0W-4L and 11SV And all other pithers have a ERA more when 4.00 And in 5 or 6 inning my starter or reliever sometimes give up big number of hits and i not understand why? My pitcher not very tired and in previous inning my pitch work good... But I have 3 or 4 shutout. Maybe someone can give me a good link where i can get info about pitching or good advice are welcome. And some batting problem or not More 90% of all my run scored by homers. I know what i play for Bronx Bombers, but i see homers or outs(fly out or ground out) and rarely hits, 2b or 3b. (On last week i have 2 game with 10 homers in game by my team. In first A-Rod 4, Sheffild 2 in second 3 by Posada and 3 by Giamby and 2 by Lofton). in All games I hame minimum 3 homers is this unrealistic??? I'm play Dynasty /keyboard/pro level/default roster/default slider/last EA patch. Any advice? Sorry for my bad english.
JP_Frost
okay, first of all... To pitch around someone means that you don't give the batter any good pitches ( fastballs right over the plate for example ). This is what you see happening to Barry Bonds alot - it's not an IBB ( intentional walk ). as far as the closers go, an era of 4 just happens. In my current dynasty Gangne has an era of close to 5! That's because closers normally pitch one or two innings and if they get scored against in that inning then it has way more effect on their ERA. So, it's normal to see closers with a high ERA or a very low ERA. If all the closers in your game have an ERA of 4 or higher, then I suggest downloading some files ( which I will mention to you later ). Pitchers tend to tire somewhere in between the fifth and the seventh inning, so it's pretty normal for them to give up some hits or even some runs during that stretch. This is what makes baseball so sweet - a guy could strike out the side in the 5th inning and get 2 homers and 4 runs against him in the 6th - you never know what''s gonna happen. But believe me, that it's mostly the stamina that causes it. Your batting problem could be solved with a simple slider adjustment ( lower the user batting power slider ). Or it could be that you try to pull pitches too much. Now, I'm not familiar with playing this game with the keyboard ( please people, buy a gamepad! I got the logitech wingman cordless and it's great ), but if you press up when you hit the ball, then you will pull the pitch and hit it in the air, so this causes alot of fly outs and in your case also alot of homers. Try to go with the pitch, if a pitch is thrown away from the batter then hit the ball in that direction and try to keep in mind the movement of the pitch that is thrown ( is it a fastball or slider yaknow ). okay...download these files: Geforce total minors v4 Bill Harris' progression mod Kamasutra's combo datafile mod and new camera's Mvpedit and get some nice overlays or facepacks or whatever. hopefully this loooooooooooooooong reply was any help for you.
