stecropper
Hope all enjoy the Total Classics 1964 Season: We can use this thread to share suggestions, impressions etc ...... As with most Full Season Mods constant improvement occurs as the Mod progresses. Thus, with 1964 there were several small items that either did not make the final cut prior to release or were inadvertently overlooked. So I will keep these improvements/changes/corrections updated in this Thread as they become available. We also encourage others to share their thoughts for improvement to this Mod so we can share it with all that maybe interested. Most, hopefully, all of these improvements/changes/corrections can be implemented via the use of MVPEdit. There is an MVPEdit .mbe file available in the data/database directory of the TC64 Mod. This Thread can also serve as the focal discussion thread for the Full Season Total Classics 1964 Mod. 09/02/2007 Suggested Adjustments: 1) The "04 Face" flag on the following players should be set to "NO": Bill Freehan Jake Wood Willie Davis Rich Rollins Zoilo Versalles Roy McMillan Ken Boyer 2) Additional Improvement adjustments: Bob Saverine batting stance set to C.Jones Jimmy Stewart batting stance set to N.Garciaparro Ron Santo batting stance set to D.Ortiz John Orsino face # to 269; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 4 Joe Azcue face # to 531; 04 Flag to "NO:; Skin Tone to 3 Del Crandall face #to 296; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 2 Larry Jackson glove color to Lt Brown ------------------------------------------- 09/18/2007 Suggested Adjustments: 1) Additional Improvement adjustments: Floyd Robinson batting stance set to A.Beltre Dave Nicholson batting stance set to Classic 1 Nelson Mathews batting stance set to H.Matsui Don Buford batting stance set to H.Matsui Billy Moran batting stance set to Crouched Vic Power batting stance set to D.Ortiz Ted Bowsfield face # to 501; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 5 Wayne Causey face # to 330; 04 Flag to "NO:; Skin Tone to 2 Rollie Sheldon face #to 767; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 2 Dick Stuart face #to 838; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 4 Jack Kralick face #to 617; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 2 Roger Maris face #to 272; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 4 (personal choice) Pete Mikkelsen face #to 627; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 2 John Blanchard face #to 350; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 3 Tom Satriano face #to 556; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 3 Claude Raymond face #to 866; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 2 Jimmie Schaffer face #to 501; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 5 Freddie Burdette face #to 350; 04 Flag to "NO"; Skin Tone to 3 Pete Mikkelsen Bone Profile to Athletic Big Legs
fred13
Just played my first game, and I LOVE IT! Played as the Cardinals and faced off against the Reds. Both Bob Gibson and Jim Maloney pitched very well. Here's the link to the boxscore: Reds at Cardinals Thanks to everyone who helped make this. I will be enjoying this for a long time to come (or at least until the next TC release ) Keep up the good work guys!
Sean O
My SuperDynasty has just begun: 1964-1994. My 17 year old pitcher just started his first game for the Red Sox at Fenway Park, in a 5-4 victory over the Tigers. After surrendering the tying homerun in the top of the 9th over the Monster by Al Kaline, a bottom of the 9th walk-off sac-fly gave the Sox the victory. I'm planning on following the evolution of my player over the years, as he grows, gets injured, learns and adjusts to the changing league. Right now, he throws a 4 seamer at 87, a nice splitter at 81, and a 2 seamer at 79, from a straight over-the-top lefty windup. Psyched.

Padres67
Just finished my 162 game 1964 dynasty. I played with the Reds. Using a "pure" pennant format I had 103 wins to the Dodgers 102 wins for the pennant. It came down to the final day-I had to win to avoid a playoff. Jim O' Toole won his 22 game against 9 losses on 2 days rest 11-1. He had an E.R.A of 2.10-yet lost the Cy Young to Drysdale who was 18-7 and 1.95. The MVP went to Mays who hit 32 homers and 112 RBI's and .304 average. I loved the music. The running totals at the bottom of the screen was a great idea. By the way in the A. L. the Angels won the pennant with 97 wins to the Yankees 89 wins.
stecropper
112155, Great to hear this update. I am only 40+ games into my dynasty. If you have any suggestions of things that might need to be tweaked to make it more realistic we certainly would be interested in hearing your thoughts so we can take them into consideration for upcoming full season mods as well as into enhancing those previous TC61* & TC67 mods. Thanks 112155 Much appreciated, Don
Padres67
Well get going man-1956 is waiting. I play all-star level. I, like most people, swing at everything. To get realistic results I set the user contact between 35-50, power at 35, pitching meter at -25-50, and control at -25 or above. I get rid of all the cold zones and switch them to neutral or hot. I got very realistic batting averages and pitching stats. I have played over 1700 dynasty games so these may not work for all. I also have the pitch speed at 50 for a more realistic feel. Koufax's fastball at that level feels like he would throw it. Also no base runner speed under 70-balls hit to the wall should get at least 2 bases. I loved everything about this. I will try and think of some other things later. Great job as always.
HardcoreLegend
'64 was the first year of Shea Stadium. Man, it'd be nice to have a classic version with the brick walls in foul territory and the chainlink fences in the OF, with that BEAUTIFUL scoreboard.
