fred13
Throwing like a pitcher because it looks cool isn't really a smart thing. Different shoulders require different arm slots. Doing something like that could cause damage to your arm. Find a rotation that will be comfortable to you and will keep your arm healthy.
SESbb30
i learned that trying to throw like randy johnson.

sobehound
Lincecum is the coolest! You should learn how to throw like him!
abc006
Lincecum is the coolest! You should learn how to throw like him!Actually, the way Lincecum throws, his windup and his arm angle, allow someone his size to throw 97 without much "violence". So if I'm correct, you'd actually benefit from learning to throw like Lincecum, I don't think his mechanics are very prone to injuries.
olskoolmvp
best way to figure it out is to toss a few with diff arm angles, then with those diff angles, throw diff pitches with em,after those 2 steps, what feels comfortable?what allows u to be effective?what angle helps u with ur pitches speed and movement. i aint no pitching coach but this seems like a easy and fun way of experimenting. SESbb30
theres a website that shows you hundreds of pitchers in slow-mo, to get a good look at their mechanics, helped me gain 5 mph on my fastball this summer!
abc006
Hey, waddya know, something about Jake Peavy's mechanics from the ever-insightful Carlos Gomez.
SESbb30
dude, thats almost the exact angle i throw from, just a little higher than that. thats pretty much what my pitching coach told me to do, except for the "scap" load. which seems like it works. ill have to give it a try.
