abc006
I figure we should have a place to show anybody anything you've played in MVP that's interesting and worth showing off and/or just showing. For example, if you pitched a no-hitter, won it with a grand slam in the bottom of the 9th, and made a tremendous catch over the wall in the same game, upload the boxscore for us all to see and maybe add some screenshots. Or, alternatively, did you allow 42 runs and score zero? I'm sure we'll all like to see it, even if you want to mope in a corner about it. So, I'll start it off with just a random game with TC-64, hot of the presses, though it turned into a pretty good one: St. Louis 3, LA 2, 10 innings. I played as the Cards. Sandeeee on the rubber for the dodgers... well, maybe not. That's illegal, you know! While Bob Gibson pitches for the Cardinals. That year he had "only" a 3.01 ERA. I mean, really. It was scoreless until Maury Wills hit a two run-scoring triple in the fifth off Gibson to give the Dodgers a 2-0 lead. The Cards tied it up in the top of the 6th with back-to-back homers from some of the most unlikely people in the Cards' lineup to hit them: Curt Flood and Lou Brock. Frank Howard made a nice over-the-shoulder catch in the ninth to keep the game 2-2. Gotta love those glasses. The game was going into extras, and in the tenth inning Ken Boyer hit a mammoth shot into the left field bleachers to lead off the tenth, giving the Cardinals the 3-2 lead. Barney Schultz pitched a perfect tenth for the save and the Cardinals win.
JoeRudi26
Excellent idea, abc006. Instead of a running dynasty thread, sort of a Random Game Highlight Thread. Not sure if it's been done before in the form of a sticky somewhere on the site, but nonetheless a great idea. :)

Yankee4Life
Excellent idea, abc006. Instead of a running dynasty thread, sort of a Random Game Highlight Thread. Not sure if it's been done before in the form of a sticky somewhere on the site, but nonetheless a great idea. Yeah it has, I had an old one for my Total Classics games and more recently the infamous biased boxscore thread where I post box scores with Ty Wiggin's utility and I play exhibition games against various teams. But what abc006 is doing in this thread is original in that it is a random game highlight thread where anyone can post their screenshots. I think that's a great idea. The trouble is abc, you shouldn't call this the "less beautiful" box score thread. There's nothing less or cheap about. It's a great idea and I think there is always room for another thread like this. Good luck.

abc006
Talk about a fast game: My awful MVP plate discipline combined with a strike throwing groundball pitcher on rookie mode equals a game in which 111 pitches were thrown total. Yankee4Life
I played a TC 7 game just now and the only thing I forgot to do was save my box score, so now I am upset with myself. It was the 1964 Kansas City Athletics against the 1942 St. Louis Browns. The game was played at Sportsman's Park. St Louis 4, Kansas City 3 WP: Elden Auker LP Orlando Pena HR: D ick Green (Kansas City) Solo shot off Auker. Note: This is the first time in four tries that I have won against the Kansas City Athletics. I don't know what it is when I play against them, and I had to fight back from a 3 - 0 hole in this one. Here's Vern Stephens of the Browns. Lifetime batting average of .286 This was Bert Campaneris' rookie year. He played nineteen years in the majors and ended up with the Yankees in 1983. He has three World Series rings. Forcing out a Browns runner in the late innings to keep the game close. The Browns congratulate each other after closing out the win here today. 1942 was a good year for St Louis as they went 82 - 69, which was good for third place in the American League, but it still was 19 1/2 games behind the pennant winning Yankees, who won 103 games that year. abc006
I made a video of a random Bucs-Cubs game I played, here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBgOKTNlW34 And here's the boxscore: http://dynasties.mvpmods.com/boxscores//us...bc006/PIT11.htm What was weird about this game is that all but one of the runs came by homers, and there were 7 of them in the game - even Zach Duke hit one! abc006
Another game in my Pirate's dynasty I'm doing... this one featured more offense via homers (4 out of the 5 runs came by a homer, including back-to-back-to-back), John Wasdin who has a career 5.28 ERA pitching a shutout, and - gasp - a walk. See for yourself: http://dynasties.mvpmods.com/boxscores//us...bc006/PIT68.htm
