paceee
Hi, When I'm playing MVP Baseball 2005 on the PC, the screen is stuck at 60 hz, and its hurting my eyes... is there some way to make the game's refresh rate the same as my desktop's refresh rate (100 hz)? paceee
Thanks for your reply. I am using the latest drivers from the nvidia.com site, and I am connected to a CRT monitor. I have tried turning vsync on and off, and there has been no difference. I've turned it on and off using the nvidia control panel AND in-game, but the screen is still flashing at 60 hz Any other ideas?
baseballfans
I am using Classic NVIDIA Control Panel I go to Screen Resolutions & Refresh Rates Under Where it say" Custom resolutions and refresh rates" Click ADD go to Screen refresh rate: Change it to 75 hertz or whatever your monitor is capable to do. Note: I am using a mod nvidia drivers so U may not see this screen totally as I do.
paceee
My desktop refresh rate is 100 hz, but the game is forcing the monitor to use 60 hz. My question is, how do you force the game to use 100 hz?
baseballfans
Oh U mean the game. Well the game was make back in 2004 and it run a lot better with default 60hz. It was never meant to go to 100hz. The EA patch 3 was to fix this problem of playing too fast. So there is no solution to play at 100 hz.
big shmooz
Actually it's patch 1 or 2 (I forget offhand which, but I think it was 2) that already caused the game to run at 60hz. There is a way to override this if you want in windows in the directX diagnostic tool under the tab that says "more help". Or you can download a program called rivatuner at guru3d.com that you can use to override this. However if you override the 60hz setting in the game, your game will probably start playing in hyperspeed.
paceee
Alright, thanks. On a side note... 1. I am dling MVP 07 right now, but once I'm finished, what other components do I have to download (uniforms, faces, etc)? 2. My MVP 2005 crashes randomly when I partially sim a game, then interrupt the simulation and start to play myself... what's wrong? Thanks again for all the help
big shmooz
Regarding question 1... Basically that's the point of having MVP 07. It already contains all the stuff you want. However there is a patch update you will want. (patch 2) Also, there is a models.big update you will also want. You will also want a more updated roster. As far as question 2, somebody else will have to answer this because I don't sim games.
