Dude, thats the thing, nobody really wants the console versions,PC is where its at.

New here. Been playing PS2 version with roster updates each season. None of the new gen games compare to fun on MVP 05. Why is the PC version better than the console version(s)? Thanks.

Just wait on the Next-Gen games, mvp 2005 was great for 2005 but it sucks compared to other games. And theire are things that just aren't moddable like better GFX, hitting/pitching!

you can edit stadiums, overlays, rosters, cyberfaces, portraits, music, etc with the pc

you can not do anything but rosters with console version unless your console is modded

Thanks for everyone's replies, but is the gameplay fun on the CPU? I had MLB 2K7 and MLB The Show and the game play suck. I own a PS3. I was so bewildered to trade in both those copies and go back to MVP 05 and use updated rosters. The gameplay is why I play MVP 05 for PS2 on my PS3. There's nothing out there that beats it, sadly.

its the same as a console version as long as you have

anough RAM to handle the mods

the Graphics Card to display graphics good enough for you

a controller (keyboard sucks imo)

Something other than EBAY/AMAZON...its amazing, at least 80 bucks, thats alot for us college students...thanks in advance for any help.

One finished off on ebay for 50 the other day.My friend in high school whose only job is cutting lawns, will pay $90 for a copy. It is amazing what a grip my MVP stories have had on him.
