ixcuincle
What's with all the name calling? Why can't we just have a discussion and present our opinions in a civilized, preferably grammatically correct manner? Also, how did it progress from Bush and the Fourth Amendment to wherever the heck it is now? It's simple. Politics tends to get people worked up. One person makes a statement , another responds with a generalization that angers someone else and the argument gains momentum. As I said , we should all stop bickering , and unite , Democrats and Republicans alike , to ensure that Hillary does not win it all in 2008. That is what bipartisanship is about! AstroEric
I couldn't agree more-Bush, Obama, Hillbill-are all people-only God has the answers to the world problems. Yeah, but where are we going to find the five golden hemorrhoids and five golden mice it costs to satisfy His wrath?

cfree8988
Maybe if everyone had as much confidence and belief in their own self as opposed to liars and sun gods then the world would be a better place and we could finally get somewhere in this world. ixcuincle
True...to be honest I don't care who wins the election as I said before. Just make sure he isn't Hillary , and that he eases up on the whole PC wave that's been striking the nation. We're too serious nowadays , kids can't even play tag anymore. fred13
Believing in God is like believing in Santa. Its just a bunch of bull **** people feed you so you behave "normally". Except there's no presents. That's what I've learned in the last year.

Except there's no presents. That's what I've learned in the last year. If comments and sentiments like this hadn't been predicted and prophesied in the Bible, I might actually be offended. However, the good news is that this totally what I expect. I am not at all offended, in fact, I am saddened. I'm thinking there were some "Christians" who perhaps were very judgemental with you or something like that? Personally, I see no need to point out faults of others, particularly since I have so many faults of my own to deal with! I am indeed sorry when other so-called "Christians" feel it is necessary to "save" the rest of humanity. It is not our job to "save" humanity. Do I believe in Santa Claus? Nope. Do I believe n God. Absolutely. That's all I really need to do with other people, is SHARE what I believe in, not try to force anyone else to believe it as well! I respect your opinion Lautrec, and I also respect you for responding in an adequate manner. I've definitely had my share of over-eager Christians, although theres been some Muslims, and Hindus who have also said similar things to me. I once had a Christian shove a copy of the New Testament into my hand and say "You're life would be so much better if you were Christian". I've also had Muslims say to me that Allah is the "only" God and those who "don't believe" are "not worthy". All of God's value has been diluded over time and by now, for me its like "what's the point". I feel that I'm better off living life the way I want to, because in the end that's all that matters. My philosophy is "Why waste my time thinking about what's next, when there's so much more fun to have right now?" That's just my point of view, I (like you) will gladly share my ideals, but do not force them on anyone. EDIT: whoa, I just realized how this goes totally against what the original article is about :)
