DoubleD
I don't really have a 'favorite' player, but the only non-Marlins/Devils Rays I follow are the UF grads (Wilkerson, Eckstien, Ellis, Fogg, ect.). Hopefully LaPorta will be up soon. :)
MudvayneRocker
1. Felix Pie - i think the most talented young player thats came around in a long time (future H.O.F. 20??) 2. Alfonso Soriano - i love the excitment he brings 3. Kyle Farnsworth - if there is a fight, u want kyle farnsworth on your team, this guy could have his own tv show that just showed highlights of his greatest hits and tackles during basebrawls. he should join ufc or something. abc006
wow me then.....hes as valuble as a great bench hitter, because he's a great bench fielder...never said you have to start him but i have more faith in him than wily mo pena in the ninth of a ballgame...he doesnt need to bat to be effective and he takes up 1/25 of the roster..i think a great fielder speedster who cannot hit is more valuble than the common slow pinch hitterI wish I had access to 2007 VORP and WARP, but I'll just have to use win shares for now. Let's compare his win shares to some other NL, mainly outfielder, relatively speedy, hitting from .240-.275 utility men: Freel: 4 Alfredo Amzaga: 5 Nook Logan: 8 Willie Harris: 10 Dave Roberts: 11 I can go on if you want. It's a favorite player thread, you can't criticize favorite players.I'm not arguing his favorite player, Reel gets big time points for talking to himself. Just saying there are plenty of people I'd rather have on my team - he asked me to "wow" him. (Yeah, mommy, HE started it!) http://www.baseballprospectus.comI know, but I haven't really gotten around to spending the lettuce for the subscription, though I probably should eventually. Next season, I promise. Probably.

seanzarelli
All Time: Mike Piazza Current: Matt Holliday and J-Willy (Josh Willingham) I've been following Piazza since 93 and is the reason I started to play catcher, which I regret now because of how bad my knees are these days. And as for Holliday & Willingham, I've really enjoyed watching these guys over the past couple years and have found myself really pulling for them this year, and glad to see Holliday is in an NL MVP candidate.
