DoubleD
and how good was he in his 2nd full season? he hit .245 with 11HR & .380 SLG Phillips .292 with 29 HR & .493 SLG I'd consider 370 ABs to be a good seasons worth so I'd say this is his third season. He's 26 years old, entering his prime. Hence his power increase. Hanley Ramirez, Jose Reyes, and Troy Tulowitzki are already outdoing him and are several years younger. 2-3 years might not sound like much but it's a lot in baseball age, when you consider how much the body matures in the mid 20's. When they reach Phillips's age, they're going to blow his current numbers out of the water. It'd also help of Phillips could learn to take a walk. He's only walking 4.8% of the time this year. RaysFTW
Hanley Ramirez. No questions asked. This guy's just that damn good.
WinnieThaPujols
and how good was he in his 2nd full season? he hit .245 with 11HR & .380 SLG Phillips .292 with 29 HR & .493 SLG Brandon Phillips has an OPS+ of 101 this year. Think about that: 101. That means he's just a tad bit better than the average NL hitter. Now, granted, he's doing it while playing a defensive premium position (so that makes things look a lot better), but Brandon Phillips is overrated (despite not getting much media attention). mrmet06
Nobody likes Reyes anymore lol Because the son of a ***** can't hit the ball on the ****** ground!!! His offensive ignorance is killing me for one, and bringing down the entire team. I hope he learns soon, because I almost forgot he was a rookie 3 YEARS AGO!!! superciuc
Hanley Ramirez is the next best shortstop. Reyes is fast but Ramirez is way better.
D-Unit
Because the son of a ***** can't hit the ball on the ****** ground!!! His offensive ignorance is killing me for one, and bringing down the entire team. I hope he learns soon, because I almost forgot he was a rookie 3 YEARS AGO!!! Who cares, I mean he leads the league in EF, HTF and MSB! EF = Exciting Factor HTF = Hustling To First MSB = Meaningless Stolen Bases
abc006
Don't you mean he's last in the league in HTF?
