I just started checking this out, and I gotta say great work man. i'll keep following.

Bonds on the Cubs...ewwww

Thanks - glad you like it :D

Gotta admit, it's definitely weird seeing him in Cubbie blue. But that lineup could compete in the AL - Bonds, Soriano, Lee, Ramirez...and Murton is having a career year.

But their pitching has been flukey thus far. Any help there and they could be immediate favorites.

What trades do you think your Organization will make at the deadline?

As it stands right now, probably none. There's a definite need for offense, but we're not going to trade away prospects for a rental. If we make the playoffs, great. But we're done trying to "win now." Even with the team in position to make a run at the wild card, we're not going to sacrifice the future and the plans we have laid out to build towards that future.

There might be some moves made in the offseason, when it's easier to pick up impact players. But I wouldn't expect the Giants to make a big splash in the next couple of weeks.

Thanks for checking in! :D

Blanton Headed to DL

OAKLAND, Calif. - The Oakland Athletics announced today that pitcher Joe Blanton has been placed on the 15-day DL with a groin pull.

Blanton has been listed in many rumors circulating around the upcoming trade deadline, but his trip to the disabled list could end many team's interest in the young hurler.

Teams can work out trades until 4:00 p.m. ET on July 31. Throughout the month of August, a player can still be traded, but must clear waivers before a trade can be approved.

what is wrong with the offense, it seems like they support Lincecum losing, and not giving him run support lol

Yeah, they're a bunch of sick sons a...

Guess they picked on Cain so much this season that they set their sights on Lincecum in '08. :thunder:

Giants, Dodgers Come Together in Rare Trade

SAN FRANCISCO - The San Francisco Giants announced earlier today a trade that would send veteran

left-hander Steve Kline to the rival Los Angeles Dodgers for 23-year old catcher Lucas May.

Kline, 35, has appeared in 31 games for the Giants this season, all out of the bullpen. He has struggled

in that span, surrendering 10 earned runs on 18 hits in just 14 innings while striking out seven and

walking five. Batters are hitting .321 off Kline this season.

The Giants have placed May in Triple-A Fresno. They hope he will develop into the successor to Bengie

Molina, whose contract is up after the 2009 season.

Giants Notes: Left-hander Jack Taschner has been called up from Fresno and will be available for to-

morrow's game. Pitcher Adam Carr was promoted from Connecticut to Fresno. Catcher Barry Gunther

has been released and pitcher Patrick Overholt has been signed. Overholt will report to Connecticut.

How bout you fire your manager and get Joe Torre? :biglaff:

You'd have to have your Yankees fire Joe though, of course.

Unless Joe's gonna suit up and hit .400 with 80 bombs, he's not going to help much :D

Gotta fight the urge to trade off everybody. Definitely going to be an eventful offseason though. But we still got a wild card chase to fight through.
