emanuelsaavedra
I am having a very hard time using MVPEdit, because when i open it i cant create a new file, or do anything with it. Mainly because i do not know what to do with the program, if someone could help me i would appreciate it. I want to change a few of the teams, you know, their logos and names, and uniforms and also i want to add portraits to a few players i created. If you can please help me i would appreciate it. kgbaseball
You can't add logos, change team names, or do anything with uniforms with MVPEdit. There's some directions for it in the all encompassing FAQ thread by MarkB.
emanuelsaavedra
what can you do with mvoedit then?
kgbaseball
It's strictly a roster and portrait application.
emanuelsaavedra
Ok thanks, i know that this is out of topic but i must ask you. I know that you are vey good creating rosters, i have been tryig to push to get a patch of the cuban league created but have had no response so far. Would it be too much to ask if you could help me, or guide me in making the patch myslef. I have all of the stats and everything i just need to create the rosters and put the portraits on the right players, then once that is done hopefully some people will come in and help create the stadiums and cyberfaces. But i am sure that unless i create the rosters no one will do anything. Could you help me with infor on how to create it since i dont know how to work this very well? kgbaseball
Well, creating a roster file is simple. Make sure you have the original game installed with no mods or anything. Open MVPEdit, go File-Import-DAT Files. Double-click on the database folder, and it'll load the original MVP 2005 roster for you. You can work from there. Just save it as something, and you have yourself a roster to work with. Change players' names, ratings, birth, weight, etc.
emanuelsaavedra
Thanks, how can i like export it, you know to where i make it available to post it here on MVP Mods for people to use and download. And, is there any way to change the format of competition. I dont know if im being clear. Like, ex. in MVP 03 or 04 you could make a tournament where you could make like around robin and then playoffs. Is there anyway to make a tournament like that (there is only 16 teams in cuba)
emanuelsaavedra
do you know of someone who likes and is good at creating stadiums and who would be willing to chip in this project?
emanuelsaavedra
what tool do you normally use to create the ratings of the players. I have rating generator, but it only helps with hitters, but what about pitchers. Your rosters usually have very good and very accurate ratings (altough i would raise yunel escobar's contact). What program do you normally use to generate those ratings.
