Appollo
I voted Montana because he was what I remember watching and being spellbound by.. sorry I didn't vote on cold hard facts, I voted on my personal feelings which is what it boils down to.. cold hard numbers are for bean counters not sports,, but I know alot of guys love the stats side, not me I watch for the pure entertainment performance thing. Pity I can't get to see the NFL anymore as SBS seems to have stopped showing games here in Aus.
meteamo
What about Jim Kelly? He went to the Super Bowl 4 consecutive times. Has Brett Favre ever won a Super Bowl? He's awesome. *** EDIT *** What about Steve Young? Wasn't he better than Montana while at SF?
el_jefe061
One thing to remember about football is that stats aren't the "end all be all" barometer of a player. There's a lot more to being a great football player than just the stats. Statistically, Brett Favre is the best Quarterback ever. However, you can't ignore Elway's bad teams and comebacks or Montana's rings (Fantastic team around him or not, it does take an elite QB to win that many Super Bowls). There's more to a QB than just stats. When it comes down to other Quarterbacks, Jim Kelly, Roger Staubach, Steve Young, etc, is that they were all elite, but I don't think (I doubt I'm alone in this either) that they're the best of the best. triberocks4
Clinching Factor: Cut off all his arms and legs, and Brett Favre would still have the best torso according to John Madden. Case closed.
MarlinsMS_35
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XBW7ysPcbT0 Go to 4:53 If there was an entire team of Brett Favre, playing against another team of Brett Favre, I mean, I think the universe would explode!
