jac2598
I'm upgrading to a new, larger HD. I have a simple question - is it possible, once I reinstall Windows on the new drive to simply copy my MVP Program Files directory (as well as the My Docs folder) over to the same place on the new HD and have everything work as before? My initial thought is yes, because nothing is installed to the Windows directory and anything deeper than that. Thanks!

Jim825
The only issue you might encounter is if you ever want to uninstall the game using the uninstaller. Since you are simply copying everything over rather than going through a "proper" installation process, some Windows registry values will not get updated. I also don't know if there will be a problem with the Windows AutoRun functionality when you simply pop the CD in the drive. The AutoRun information may also be stored be stored somewhere in the Registry. You might have to double click your desktop icon to start the game. For the most part, you should be just fine. I think what I might do then is install MVP 05... so the installation is in good order (in Add/Remove Programs, etc...) and then copy over all the backed up files. That should alleviate any issues with registry and uninstallers. Thanks for the feedback!
Playball335
Why would you need the un-installer using this method? To remove just delete the MVP folder you brought over from your old drive and the MVP folder found in your My Documents folder. Actually, I too have it installed on my laptop - works great! jac2598
I decided to install MVP 05 and then copied my backed up files over the top of the install and everything worked perfectly. It was like I never did a thing. Thanks to those that provided help.
