whitetimer
Hi All .. I'm new to MVP Baseball 2005 and what i have seen so far, i love it. Played Madden 08 lately, so thought this would be cool to. Anyway, down loaded all the mods, installed and looks cool. I have a couple of Newbie questions ... 1) Is it really that difficult to bat. Oh boy, i can hardly hit a darn pitch and if i do, its pathetic lol .. Any tips or suggestions .. ? 2) Apart from the suggested mods, any really good ones to make as realistic as possible. Any good sliders .. ? 3) Finally and good walkthroughs/strategies for Owner or Dynasty for a newbie to get into Baseball..? Oh by the way, i'm in England, so new to the game fullstop ... pmsl many thanks to all :joystick:
59FIFTY
1) Start on easy and adjust the sliders so its easy then go to pro etc etc 2) Get some datafiles! and sliders! 3) My tip turn off the fair trades thingies en get the best players and remove the salary cap! redsox
2) Apart from the suggested mods, any really good ones to make as realistic as possible. Any good sliders .. ? The best way would be try different ones yourself. There are plenty of datafile/slider combinations that you can play around with to get a feel for your type of gameplay. For the mods that you are thinking of installing, I would surely start off with the 07 mod, its patches, models.big updates, latest roster sets, latest portraits set among many others. Try out the different overlays that can be installed and see which one you like the most. KSM and Trues are the best in that regard though there are others who have done overlay mods. I swap between any of Trues' and KSM's overlays now and then to keep it fresh. Also the stadium update over at www.eamods.com is a must have, not to mention Rollie's update for Dodger Stadium. In my opinion, that is probably the best modded stadium though the other modded stadiums are not that far off. Hope this gets you started for now. Take care. mrmet06
As far as I'm concerned, it's fun to win (and I blow a blood vessel in my brain every time I don't), and you can only do that with the best team. It makes it less realistic for sure, but, in my opinion, much more "fun".
